So I haven't really been given details on if this will be a hindrance in my application process. I am a future applicant.

PAT: 17
QR: 21
Reading: 23
Bio: 20
GC: 24
OC: 24
TS: 22
AA: 22

Thank you! And yes, I have done some searching of the forums but my scores were a bit different.

Thank you, I was extremely happy with my scores but of course this was in the back of my mind. Would Columbia be a reach with a 17? I noticed my AA is their average.

My oGPA is 3.5 and sGPA 3.4. My #1 choice is Louisville and I am a Florida resident

Who knows, apply and see how it works. If you have good ECs then it might not be a reach.

I had a 17 on the PAT and was flat-out rejected from many schools without an interview (Maryland, ASDOH, Midwestern, UOP, Lousiville, Harvard, and Columbia) and with the exception of the two Arizona schools who really, really value extensive community service, I think my low PAT was the reason why. On the brightside for you, I did get 10 interviews (I attended 6 - UCLA, UCSF, Michigan, USC, Penn, & Western - Did not attend NYU, Tufts, UNLV, & Boston) and was accepted everywhere except Western. Like me, you should be fine with the rest of your stats, but you have to realize that some schools really do value the PAT quite a bit and to them it might be a little too low.

If 17 is a little too low, then what's jussssst right for all these schools? like a 20? 🙂

Dang, Louisville being in that list breaks my heart :-(

I basically just need to get in SOMEWHERE, though, as I plan to do the HPSP. My recruiter said my scores are great for that, as they only look at AA/TS.

Check the forums for about a post on average DAT scores for every school. I think they show the ranges of the scores as well. I believe Columbia's lower end was 20?

not the end of the world. your other scores might make up for it. AA/TS is more important than PAT alone, so I am sure you will be fine.
I've see plenty of people getting accepted with 15~17 PAT with other stats making up for it at least to a degree.
