I applied to 18 schools all over the country, but I have only received 2 interviews so far. One is in October, and another one is in November. I submitted my primary app on July 31, and the secondary apps a less than a week later. I re-took the DAT, and the scores were in on 8/15/2014. Everything else was in before that. One of my friends submitted the primary app a week earlier than me, and submitted the secondary apps at about the same time as I did. He also took the DAT a week earlier than me. He also applied to more than 10 schools, and he has like 6 interviews so far.
I am worried. Are 2 interviews out of 18 schools normal at this point?
Here are my stats:
PAT 21, QR 20, RC 18, Bio 20, GC 25, OC 22, TS 22, AA 21
First time scores:
PAT 18, QR 21, RC 15, Bio 22, GC 22, OC 23 ( I did not record my TS and AA).
GPA: 3.80 cGPA and a 3.69 sGPA.
EC
-leadership positions in three clubs (I am the co-founder of one of the student organizations)
-around 100 volunteering hours (nursing home visits, tutoring kids and high school students)
- around 100 shadowing hours in three different places (Two private practices and one hospital clinic), so I saw a good variety of different treatments.
- one semester of being a research assistant (I did not do anything significant here, just helped my supervisor to get data by performing a simple experiment)
- a good recommendation from a dentist, and two letters from my professors.
