hey, I would say u need to bring up that mcat score to the mid 20s to have a decent shot. D.Os are easier than allopathic schools, but I still think u gotta have that mcat score around 25. I think if u do that, you would be an average D.O matriculant (numbers wise anyways) in terms of your mcat and gpa. However since you have a lot of experience you may get away with a slightly lower score, but I'd still advise a retake. Acceptance at D.O programs is easier, but its getting tougher each year. For example the entering class of 2008 at tcom had an avg gpa of almost 3.6 and an avg mcat of 28, which is comparable with some lower-tier allopathics. Granted, this is probably higher than most osteopathic school statistics. Not telling you this to scare you, but just to advise you that you probably need to retake the mcat...dont worry, im in the same bout with you, it sucks, but remember its really the last hurdle we have to clear.
