Yup, I got a rejection from MCP Hahnemann today. It's weird because I got an interview invitation to Temple so I called up Jefferson and Hahnemann to see if I could coordinate something. Well, Jefferson granted me an interview, but I got a letter today from Hahnemann giving me the boot. Oh well, I'm a little disappointed but not too much. I still have 12 other schools going for me (and four interview invites so far). Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that just because you have an interview somewhere and you call surrounding schools to coordinate stuff, doesn't mean it will work out in your favor. Up until Friday, the secretary at Hahnemann had me believing that I would probably get an interview, but I had to call this week sometime for sure.

I am sorry to hear that but let me tell you (I am in the postbac, IMS program, here) that MCP Hahnemann is not as good as Temple or Jefferson. So it's all good. You will perservere... ;) :p

At least your fourth fifth sixth and seventh rejection didn't come into the mail today. :D :D :D :D :D

gmendese,

I'm really sorry to hear that.

I have to ask you a question. Please don't take this as an attempt to rub salt in your wounds. With all those interviews, things are going to work out for you.

I was invited to interview at Hahnemann. I emailed Jefferson informing them that I would be available to them...yada...yada...yada. I asked them to let me know by the 13th, and have heard nothing. I'm thinking the only way I am going to be able to travel to Philly is if I can check out both Hahnemann or Jefferson simultaneously. I see that Jefferson has asked you to interview, but how was your telephoned request taken? I'm thinking about calling them tomorrow to get this settled.

Best of luck to you. The process is unpredictable. I hear Hahnemann likes people who have spent time away from school. This is my second time applying, so...if this is your first...maybe that's why they didn't ask you to visit their campus. GO KNOCK THE SOCKS OFF TEMPLE AND JEFFERSON!!!

Thanks for your encouragement. Actually, I called Jefferson and they told me that they'd TRY to accommodate me but couldn't promise a decision in time. They told me to call back in a week. When I called back, they told me that I was in fact invited for interview and I scheduled it right there. So to answer your question, they were VERY nice and helpful over the phone. Best of luck to you!
