Hi, so I am in incoming junior at Temple at I am currently sitting at a 2.9 sGPA and a 3.1o oGPA. I dont know know what to do, do I still have any chances? I calculated my gpa's if I were to get A's from here on out and it's a sGPA of 3.19 by the end of junior year and 3.26 at the end of senior year. I am starting to study for the DAT right now and I currently work as a paramedic and I am getting some shadowing hours. My extra curriculars are on point but at this point I dont have any teachers I could ask for a rec letter.

Please help, sdn.
Thanks.

i was in the same shoes.. picked it up mid junior year. Took some tough sciences class and did well. Ended with a science gpa of 3.2 and ogpa of almost 3.3 and doing a biomedical masters this year (finishing with a ~3.7) and was accepted to NYU and interviewed at a few other schools.

Working as a paramedic will certainly put you in a different group of applicants as you're already a healthcare provider (a BIG plus). Just make sure you can explain why you aren't choosing med school because every school will ask you.

Finish strong and destroy the DAT.
