1) Is it okay to send the transcript and the matching form before I submit my application? I am submitting my app in mid-June and I was wondering if I can send my transcripts beforehand.

2) I took a Nutrition class that was offered by biology department, and it was considered as a biochem class at my school. Would this go under "Science class" or "Other science?"

Thanks in advance!

Yes and yes

Thanks! That was fast.
but for 2) so you are saying it is considered as a biology class?

I know it is listed as "other sciences" but I found this link:

"Occasionally, applicants have questions about whether they should count a particular course as a BCP or Other Science course, even though it is not taught in a BCP or Other Science department. For example:
  • A student may take an upper-level psychology course such as "The Physiology of the Brain" that is heavily based in the biological sciences; that course can be counted as a BCP course, even though it was offered through the Department of Psychology, a "Non Science" department.
  • An engineering student took Chemistry for Engineers. This course can be considered a BCP course, even though it was offered through the College of Engineering, an "Other Science" department.
  • A dental hygiene student took these two courses:
    • Principles of Pathology, a course offered through the Department of Dental Hygiene. This course can be considered a BCP course, even though it was offered through Dental Hygiene, an "Other Science" department.
    • Treating Pediatric Patients, another Dental Hygiene course would be considered an "Other Science" course because its focus is primarily clinical.

My nutrition class was offered by biology department and was a upper division bio class. CONFUSED!!!!!

Yeah this is a little confusing for me too.

I have "Diseases of Eating", "Medicine and the Law", "Intro to Medical Bioethics" & "Intro to Medical Professions"

All of these were offered thru the College of Medicine as undergrad classes. So are these "Medicine" and thus "Biology" or are they "Other Science" or just "non-science". I think they are non-science, but I dunno what to put for these...😕

I called them today and got a very confusing answer.
She told me unless the course code(?) (i.e. CHEM 101) has a pre-fix "BI-/BIO-," it won't be classedfied as a bio class. It will be under "Other Sciences." So I told her that my nutrition class had "BI-" prefix but then she went "well..it's still "Other Sciences."" I was like..?????????

My nutrition class is offered by biology department and counted as a upper division bio elective.. weird.

Also, I took a research class and she said it will go under "other sciences" even though it had BI- pre-fix. So I just stopped asking her questions.

I AM CONFUSEDDDD

Yeah I dunno... I think I would just put it under bio, especially if the prefix is bi- maybe the person didn't know either so they just said something to get you off the phone 🙄
