Hey y'all. I was wondering what you guys thought of this situation.

I have a really good relationship with two of my previous chemistry professors, and both would make amazing letter writers. One taught me for a total of 3 out of the 4 chemistry prerequisites (I had her for 3 lectures and 2 of the labs). The other I have only had for 1 lab, however she is in charge of all chemistry labs (I go to a small school), so she has known me since my first chem lab, and she speaks very highly of me.

I know for letters it's recommended you get 2 letters from science faculty and 1 from another subject, along with max 1-2 others from research, volunteering, etc. Is it advised that you look for science ones from separate departments, or is it entirely normal to have 2 from the chemistry department? The bio and physics departments here haven't really made an impression on me, so I don't have as close of a relationship with anyone from these areas (although if I needed to I could get a letter from one of these areas, as I did earn As in these classes).

Do you guys think I should get a letter from both? If not, what would you recommend instead?

Thank you so much!

i had 2 letters from sociology profs, then 2 from bio profs, doesn't matter.
