So I took the Aug 21 MCAT and got a 29 Q. But coming out of the Aug 21 test I felt soo bad, so I decided to retake it again before the last date (please do not post about the horrible decision I made). I took it again Sept 4 and got a 25O. YIKES!
So my question, do medical schools take the best MCAT score or the most recent. And yes, I am kicking myself so hard right now!

Depends on the school. A large number of schools use the most recent. However, medical schools will see ALL scores before 2003 and will take that into account.

same exact story. felt horrible about 21st MCAT and wound up with 29 which was on the low end of my AAMC scores. Sept 4 wound up being 28 and I felt awesome about it.

yea i felt awesome coming out of the Sept 4 exam too! I was actually hoping to wake up today and realize it was a bad dream or they accidentally switched my score with someone with my name. I mean the good news is that I received all the secondaries from all of my schools that I applied to (20 different ones) within the past two weeks. So its good I passed the preliminary screening. I am just worried they will only look at the 25 not the 29 when making their decisions.

Oh and by the way. I took all AAMCs and averaged between 29-31. Only got one 27 and that was my first one! I guess I had a bad day on Sept. 4...
