Hey guys, so I'm a little less than two months away from my MCAT test date (June 19) and I'm really starting to feel the pressure. I've been enrolled in a Kaplan course since January and haven't been able to keep up with all the readings and work due to college work, research, etc. I scored a 483 on my diagnostic and then a 484 on my first full length. My ideal plan until I finish the semester is trying to stick with a 3 hour a day schedule, listening to MCAT audio osmosis, MCAT flashcards and a CARS passage a day. But this is proving to be a lot tougher to manage especially with finals coming up. After this semester is over (May 10th the latest) I'm planning on going into hardcore MCAT studying mode, 7-9 hours a day, 6-days a week. I'd really appreciate some advice, maybe if you guys think I should postpone my test date or someones success story who was in a similar situation as me. I'm aiming for a score between 512-520 and I really think its possible to reach it but I'm worried about the amount of time I have left.

Pay very careful attention: If you feel that you are not ready for the MCAT, do NOT take it!!!!

These new numbers... Confused, I am.

Anywho.. If you stick to that plan you've layed out, I think you'll be good to go.

That seems to be the advice most people give on here so I'm guessing it would be the best thing to do if I'm not feeling ready. As the taste date nears I'm sure I'll be able to decide. Thanks!

your diagnostic and first full-length show that you lack the most basic grasp of the material, which is something you should have mastered in your pre-med classes. all the studying in the world for the next 2 months is not going to bring you above a 500, let alone a 512. i would strongly recommend canceling that test date and plan on taking it later in the year once you're retaining the material, and applying next cycle

Strongly agree with everyone's post. Don't be the surgeon who does a case with likely poor outcomes expecting something good.
