What procedures would a 2 year AEGD comprehensive dentist in the army be credentialed for? Specifically, would you be eventually allowed to do more specialty-related procedures like placing implants, orthodontics, molar endo, wisdom teeth extractions, etc. in the army?

Almost anything depending on what you were trained in and what your Residency program indicates you were proficient in. Most Comprehensive dentists will craft their practice to things they like to do, but it could include CAD/CAM, Endo, Surgery, Perio, Prosth, and sedation (usually oral). For me in my career the procedures I did changed as the demand/need changed at the locations I have been stationed. Typically you will not place implants as Perio/Surgery will - but you will definitely restore.

Ortho: Bravos (comprehensive dentists) are typically limited to "simple tooth movement" without supervision.

Follow-up question: Can a comprehensive dentist be allowed to do procedures like implant placement or ortho if they did lots of CE in those procedures on top of the residency?

They can, but that doesn't mean they will. If I have other specialists that those roles fall better under and they are meeting the demand - then I would likely not let my Comp dentist do those procedures. It is up to the Commander as they are the one to give privileges to all dentists at their base.
