Hello you all-
I came to the USA right after high school and needed to learn English so I took a bunch of ESL classes. My adviser told me I could use those classes towards my General Science degree. All this was at a 2 year institution ( their website says they are considered a 4 year institution because they offer more than 10 bachelors in some areas but IDK )Then I transferred to a 4 year Univ and took GChem 1 and 2, Biol 1 and 2, Calculus 1 and an elective lower division chem. I want to go back to the two year school and take Phys 1 and 2 and OChem 1 and 2 while I will be taking Anatomy and Biochemistry at the 4 year University. The school I want to apply to states one requires 90 credits in order to apply. 30 credits should be from a 4 year school. I am gonna take more than 60 in the 2 year school and more than 30 in the 4 year school. Is it Ok? Also, should I take more upper division Bio classes at the 4 year school to prove I am not avoiding them? How do school see 2 year school credits? Both schools have almost the same professors the only difference is price ( which is a huge factor since I am paying out of the pocket) Any comments on my case?

Many dental schools accept credits from Community or 2 year colleges, but from what I've see, not many accept more than 60-64 credits.
What the schools mean when they mention the minimum's of 90 credits, with 30 being from a University is this: You should NOT exceed 60 credits from a 2 year college, instead, finish your studies and degree at a 4 year University. The school's won't accept all your credits if you exceed 60. The 90 is in place for students applying after their 3rd year, typically with the intention of completing their degree with around 120 credits.

What about if I take more than 60 credits? Are they accepting the ones that I really need? I took a bunch of classes I do not need.

You should be more worried about taking the remaining pre reqs at a four year institution and pocketing a BS/BA degree than worrying about the 60 cr limit or your ESL courses, which have little or credit value.

I'm not sure how they would divvy out your credits if you surpass 60. But I know they certainly wouldn't count toward the minimums required at each school.
But from the sounds of it, you might want to listen to what @doc toothache recommends in taking your remaining prereqs at a 4 year university.
Also, make sure that the biochem course your taking has ochem as a prereq for the class. I've seen numerous schools reference that biochem needs to be taken after completing ochem.

Whatever helps you graduate faster. Figure out your final GPA. If it’s subpar, do a graduate program with higher science classes. Don’t keep shuffling back and forth from community college and university taking every class offered.

Somehow I was on the same page as you, I transferred to a 4-year institution right after done with a couple of ESL classes. Schools prefer pre-requirements as well as upper-level courses from 4-years institutions, so I suggest you to take PHY, OC, Bio... in the four-year institution cause coming back to the Community College seems like avoiding difficulty. BTW most of all pay out of pocket too, you may want to look for some scholarships as an alternative.
