yes, but they may or may not wait until your august score arrives in october to evaluate you.

For the schools that already have their 2ndaries online, are we supposed to wait and hear from them before sending the application in, ie einstein or tulane or evms? I am wondering is it ok to send them the application before receiving an email, or do they not even send emails to everybody to tell them to fill out the application?

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. I think I might call Einstein and see if they're okay with sending the secondary in before they've contacted us. Overall though, I'm not sure what to do about those schools!

I don't think you should send anything in until they actually ask you to. Who knows if you will get a secondary or not? I mean, for most schools, yes, they send them out automatically, but still. It is like showing up to a party you aren't invited to just because you assumed you would be. I just think it is not in good taste. My 2 cents.

Nope it really was that painfully easy. Too bad most schools are not setup to take credit cards or I would be racking up some major air miles.

For all of you who got a secondary from Georgetown, are your MCAT scores already in? I'm taking the MCAT for the first time in August but have already submitted my AMCAS. I'm trying to figure out if they've already rejected me (by not sending a secondary) or if they're waiting for my MCAT...

i really wish that i knew what to expect over the next couple months. if i get secondaries before my august mcat scores are in (i also took in april) then does that mean that they don't screen secondaries or that my 10, 10, 9 and 3.75 GPA is good enough for them? How about a list of schools we are checking for that are not up yet? This could save some of us some surfing time (more time for SDN 😀) For example:

UPenn website: "The 2005 supplemental application will be available the week of July 19."

Stanford: nothing yet (they screen)

Harvard: "A completely redesigned admissions site will be launched in July."

Boston U.: I think that they send via snail mail.

NYU: "Applicants who submit an AMCAS application will be contacted by our office via email with instructions on downloading a supplemental application from our website." Nothing yet.

MSSM: last year's stuff still not updated.

OHSU: screens, snail mail, notoriously slow. Nothing yet.

These are the only schools I have left.

I contacted Einstein and Tulane and both said to wait for the secondary notice from them to send in the secondary (for what it's worth, the Assistant Dean of admissions from both replied to me on the question). Creighton and SLU said to go ahead and fire away.

Yes, I was contacted by Hopkins. I had already started their online supplemental application, but I received a brochure from them and a letter telling me that they'd received my AMCAS application and inviting me to submit the secondary. I doubt they screen if they make their application available online, but I could be wrong...I have no idea which schools do/do not screen.

i've gotten packets from washu and john hopkins. i'm assuming these schools dont screen because i havent been verified by amcas yet. i received an e-mail from uci saying that they have received my application, but i wont be considered for review until amcas verifies my application. i know from friends that uc's do screen.

I didn't get e-mails until I started filling out the application. I submitted it two days ago, and got a confirmation e-mail about that.

However, it says that you need a login/password that they send you in order to complete the secondary, so we cannot complete it until they contact us (unless you want to just print out the PDF version - it's really a simple secondary, all they basically want is SAT scores and money)

For me, the login was my SS, password was my birthday (2 digits for M,D,Y).
But the system is not working when you try to submit information, so I wouldn't bother trying until they get that fixed.
