hey guys,

i got a sec from washu today too, but my amcas is still not processed and hte grades and my GPA is not filled in.. is that possible? or have they just given a sec to everyone who they are GOING to get an AMCAS from... I submitted two weeks ago..

does anyone know if we can start filling out the columbia secondary even if we didn't hear anything from them? on their website it says we can fill it out after submitting amcas but we would be INVITED to do that. they have the link posted & i think it would probably allow us to start the secondary.

i submitted my columbia secondary today and received an email from the admissions office saying "thanks for submitting it" so i don't think you have to wait..otherwise, why would the link have been up 3 weeks ago? in terms of how long to wait b4 submitting, if you receive an invite to fill it out, i'd submit it within about 3-4 weeks max. i know duke wants it back within 3 weeks after sending it to you so that might be an acceptable standard for all schools.. of course, as soon as possible never hurt anyone either.. i've sent back 5 so far..

Amen. I feel like I am supposed to say something that I didn't say in my AMCAS for fear of being redundant. Rephrase and rehash...

how did you find this link and do u know when they are starting to accept the secondary. i tried to fill out the first page, and the screen said it couldn't find my record...but i did apply and my stuff was transmitted with the 1st round AMCAS...

don't worry too much about it and I found it by having the link from the past admission cycle. It's probably that it is transmitted, but not enter into UVA database yet give it a week or so. If you are neurotic check on it everyday 🙂

For those of you who received the Columbia secondary - email or snail mail?
 
k so I should have read the thread more closely...nevermind the question about Columbia, but here's another:

Columbia and NYMed supposedly do not go through AMCAS, or at least that what I've heard in past years- so why where they available as options when we filled it out? Are we supposed to go to their websites and fill out their apps even if they haven't invited us to?
 
hmmmmm.....seems like only a handful of schools downloaded our apps this week. how many different schools have we now listed? like, 9 or 10? i'll bet that next week will hand me my ass, though, and i will be sad... 🙁

I still have yet to receive any secondaries, even though I've been processed since mid June. Does anyones AMCAS page actually say that they have been transmitted yet? Thanks!

They will no longer show transmission dates and you'll have to keep track of that through school correspondence....straight from the horse's mouth

for those of you who got columbia, had you already started on the application online? i did, but haven't got any email...

also, for the poster above who hasn't got any secondaries, just go ahead and fill out the ones that are already posted (yale, tulane, etc.) since you will eventually get an invite-

i'm from northeast. and yes, i have started on the app before i got my invitation. maybe it's taking time to get to cali.

one more thing, they did say in the email that they appreciate my initiating the app and they invited me to complete it.

Wasn't the UCI email just a reciept? It had told me to check back there in about a week to see if I got a secondary.

Some have gotten both the UCI receipt and the actual secondary.
 
Does eveyrone recieve UMDNJ - NJMS supplementary appliction? if so can someone post it on the board, i kinda would like to start it now (I am a NY resident not NJ).

For non-Jersey resident:

1. Your specific interest in NJMS.
2. Discuss any connection to NJ (familiar, job, or others)

Both about a half a page space...good luck!

I remember getting an application from them for undergrad as well, and they charged more than the top tier schools. I guess they're really looking to get some $$$
