I received Florida State's secondary today via email.
 
Anyone have "completed" app status...my app is "complete" at mcw, wash u, and columbia through their websites...no emails yet.

Isn't this just a re-hashing of the AMCAS personal statement (at least for me it would seem like it). What are people doing for this? Are you guys cutting your personal statement to fit the length requirement.

I plan on writing a newessay for this, but it wouldn't say anything new from the AMCAS personal statement. My AMCAS PS focused on motivation/experiences. Any thoughts?

i wrote it and just rehashed some of what i said in the primary, and added some more stuff that i didnt get a chance to say. it was basically similar to my ps

Weird. I'm in-state, turned in AMCAS relatively early - haven't received that one yet. Does it look like they prescreen or no? I figure they would have things done at the same time, especially if it's by email and not prescreened?

However, previous poster got their USF secondary on the 13th, but I got it on the 7th.

Maybe I need to stop being so anal and just wait a few weeks before blabbing off.

Another question: How do you check on app. status for columbia?

Yeah, I wasn't expecting to hear from them just yet, given the fact that they pre-screen as far as I know. I'm in-state as well and a re-applicant. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

DO NOT fill out U Va secondary, just yet. I got an email saying that they need to update to 2005 secondary, not 2004 (They gave us the link to 2004). The email says that it should be fixed by Friday.
 
Yeah..if you look at it... it asks: "Are you taking the August 2003 MCAT?" they need to get it together.

When did you submit your AMCAS??? I'm assuming you are in-state, you Hokie you. 😉 I haven't received anything from them yet. Freaking out like the psycho pre-med that I am as that is where I want to go.

I wouldn't worry, I don't know anyone else who has received a secondary from EVMS, I think its because I submitted mine AMCAS on June 2nd. Good luck!! 😀
 
does anyone else think that it's absolute crap that after paying nearly $1000 to submit to amcas that we have to pay each college at least $60 to even LOOK AT THEM!!!!!!!? most schools do not screen which means that they have not looked at the damn thing. they just see that you checked them on your amcas. they have not looked at your GPA, MCAT, experience, personal statement, state of residence or anything. they want more money! i am soo broke!!!!!!!!!!!!

My MCW was complete for a long time now, but I didn't get any emails. Ohwell.

I dont know if this has been mentioned, and I know it was always up and fill-out-able, but I got an invitation for Creighton's today. Good luck to everyone on filling these out, stay positive.

SUNY Upstate is available from their admissions page, its on the side of the screen.

UVA is currently unavailable (they accidentally sent out the link to the 2003 page).
 
Got UVa email and UPenn snail mail saying the secondary would be online starting sometime next week. Have not yet received UMich or Case.
 
i haven't received anything from case either. what's the deal, did they just contact one applicant?

It's okay...I was the first one for MCW to report 😀 . I also recieved Temple. I like the interface. Does anyone know if it's a screener school?
 
I got Rochester's secondary today be snail mail. No essays.

Its okay Chiquita....I didn't get my U Mich secondary today either...I was a little heartbroken until I realized OF COURSE they are going to wait to give out secondaries to those they are going to grant automatic interviews to....

Upenn snail mail...my box was empty....does it pre-screen? whatever, im on the west coast so it prolly takes longer

It wasn't actually a secondary - just a brochure with a letter saying that the secondary would be available online next week... I don't think they pre-screen, since they send out stuff so early in the process.
