Not only that, but they want it prepared in a certain manner: single page, AAMC ID on top, 12 point font.... umm i hope they realize that my lors are pre-compiled and I don't think the advising office woudl be willing to change it. Anyways, if you look at the Special note: Your letters or recommendation link, it gives a phone number that your pre-med committee/office can call to notify them that they won't be able to make the deadline.

I am with you...what is up with this? I thought it was pretty standard procedure to collect your LOR's in advance. You'd think schools would understand this and not place guidelines on their format. Ugh.

got loyola in the mail yesterday (7/24). seems to be moderate in difficulty with about 3-4 essays, but if any of you have tackled rush, this shouldn't be nearly that bad.

hey ames80, superdevil and leechy, thanks for the comments!! lol, i'm just going to write about that and show a bit of my personality (maybe i should leave out the part of being reduced to sneaking packets of beef jerky into the library so i wouldnt starve to death during exams. 😱 ). superdevil, i think its really cool that you learned the guitar by yourself, you should def add it!

has anyone got news on Tufts, MSSM, USC??

not sure about MSSM or USC, but i spoke with a tufts admissions person the other day and they said that they are sending out the secondaries around the first week of august

"Don't" do it 😉 they are not proper for a formal academic documant unless it is literature or a quote.

i'm sorry if this has been asked already... but has Columbia sent "invites"? I've filled out most the secondary online, but I haven't heard from them like most of the other schools i'm applying to. Does this mean I've been rejected?

Columbia does not make a rejection decision after AMCAS. You are fine. You need to submit everything and probably wait till sometime during the fall.

Ug...I am really starting to regret putting my dorm address as my preferred mailing address. The school has to forward my mail to my house which takes up to a week longer. This is the reason I haven't received secondaries like SIU, Dartmouth, and now Loyola. Oh well, I won't have to worry about the problem in 3 weeks and i'll be glad I did it when interview/reject/accept time rolls around.

All my friends recieved one last saturday so I called to see if mine had been sent (i've been having problems with my mail dissappearing) and they told me when it was sent.

I didnt apply to ETSU btw.

Hey, is anyone going to call Cornell, like me? I submitted my secondary and LOR's almost two and a half weeks ago (11th), and I still haven't gotten any correspondence from them. Someone on this board already got a completion email on the 20th....I freakin' hate schools that don't have status checks on their websites (i.e. Albert Einstein)

It says in the email they received my application and after an initial review, I should complete the secondary so I am inclined to say that they do.
