2006 Generous SDNer Hosting for interviews Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If anyone is applying to University of MO - Columbia, you are welcome to stay at my apartment with me and my husband. We also have a one year old brittany spaniel, so be forewarned! (she may lick you to death) 🙂

I have a spare bedroom in my apartment in DC, and I would be happy to let someone crash on it. Probably better for GTown interviewers than GW or Howard, but if you dont mind taking a bus I dont care which school yer looking at 🙂

I'm an M1, male, living with my girlfriend, so our house is clean and stocked with food.

Hi

If you need to interview in philly and don't mind the following:

1) About 15 minute drive to philly from jersey
2) $3 toll
3) Sleep in couch
4) My three year old
5) My rabbit

and if you bring your ride, etc

I can host you and dinner you 😀

need to revive this. Many people are interviewing now.

Please please someone be kind and let us sleep on your carpeted floor so we dont have to spend much more money than needed during this application process already.

I know last year there was a thread about this. We can do another one this year.

This is a great thread because I have been a bit worried about finding places to stay that are not double my airline ticket just to get out to the interview. To all you hosts, thanks so much, and good karma/things will come back to you.

My wife and I have a spare bedroom for those interviewing at UCHSC (Colorado). We have other people come and stay with us from time to time, so it'll depend on the schedule of your interview as to whether the room is free. We live in Boulder, which is a 30 to 45 minute drive from the med school.

Great idea on this thread and I hope people will be generous when I'm interviewing next year!

I just wanted to clarify for anyone who might be interviewing at Mizzou and needs a place to stay...the "darling 1 year old" is a dog, not a child. I repeat...I have a 1 year old slightly hyperactive DOG. 🙂 I just didn't want anyone to be turned off by the fact that there might be a screaming child in the house, because the wording on the post seems misleading. It is a dog, and she sleeps quietly, and loves everyone.
