I called to see if my app went to committe. I interviewed jan 9 and it did not make it yet. The acceptances are going out this week she said.

Yeah, but I have a super big exam tommorrow that I need to study for. Immunology, and the instructor is tough. Basically, she's like "know everything in the text". Also, it's mostly essay!

Hey everyone!! Did you hear that Jbone got in today. I guess he sent them the stats of his Halo 2 online skills and they said that he must have the best hand eye coordination that has ever been recorded. What a lucky guy that Jbone! I just wasn't bred for my skills in Halo. I think I was bred for my VCU waiting skills instead, congrats to all my posterity!

I guess they're offering him a full-tuition scholarship if he chooses cardio-thoracic OR orthopaedic spine surgery.

But apparently it's only going to be about 20 acceptance offers this time. The big one is going to be circa March 20, with 60+.

ok, i'm confused. if the class size is 180, and they have yet to make 80 offers, that means they've already made 100 offers in oct/dec? am i right? so basically if you interviewed in mid-november or later, you're competing for 80 spots. i'm making myself crazy here 🙂

Hey, my birthday is in the end of march, that would be a fricken rad birthday present. Feel free everyone to chip in to pay for it. All you have to do is call admissions and tell them that you think I should go in your spot. What do you think Bone?? Oh yeah, for Halo tonight....I have three exams on Friday so i better study at least a little.

p.s. I did speak with admissions the other day about sending updated transcripts and they said not to send official ones, but it would be nice to send an unofficial one for their records.

I wonder if 20 is really the number tho. When I interviewed in late September, she said the October number would be about 20 offers. According to others lately, that number was actually 40. So who knows.

I'm still hoping. I have until about the end of May for them to offer me a spot. In the middle of May I've got to start looking at housing and my husband has to look for a job. If they offer me a spot before he gets a job and before we buy a house, I'll take it in a heartbeat. But if they wait too long, I won't be able to accept it. VCU is and has always been my top choice, but my family comes first above all else.

Are we even sure the offers are coming out this week. I know people have called and there seems to be mixed messages. I would think by now VCU would have posted a message on the status page and let us know what time like they did prior. But again the week is not over yet so TGIF soon.

I hear ya. A little over a week ago, Kenny (at VCU) told me over the phone that the offers would be mid-Feb.

But, after the confusion over the last few days, I decided to call myself. I spoke to a female (don't know name) and I said "I just wanted to see if rumors of invites being offered this week were true." And she told me that yes, in fact, they would be "by Friday or on Friday". (like tommorrow)

So, perhaps it'll be tommorrow. More waiting........ (though i told myself not to get too worked up over the supposed 20 offers only)
