I thought this was lost and gone forever! Good ol' inverted brings it back to life. Anyone know the exact day of the next acceptances?

Hehe. Oh well. I've come to grips with it. Why kill myself thinking about the next day acceptances come out, when I will invariably remain "On Hold for Action" on that miserable February day.
Having an acceptance already really helps with the coping though 😀

After more than 7 months of waiting, I get the VCU secondary yesterday -I was on hold for grades. Yet today, I get into medical school, and a really great one at that. Do you think VCU's screening process is MESSED UP BEYOND BELIEF?!

VCU looks at more than grades - perhaps you were 'borderline' for some of their criteria where grade updates would have been important to them. Being one who got a VCU screened secondary and an early interview, I can't give a reasonable objective opinion about their screening process.
Now my state school, OTOH, hasn't even given me an interview. THAT's messed up. This whole process makes no sense whatsoever. No rhyme nor reason to it, no sense. But seriously, all I want is for VCU to say 'yes' to me. Especially since they're the only interview I've had.

Hey all. I just called VCU today, and Kenny confirmed that the next round of offers will be in mid-Feb, versus this month.

hey, i got that message too. but they ended up changing my status within two weeks. question, did you also apply to uva? i was invited for an interview and the day i was waitlisted, vcu invited me for an interview. weird thing those state schools.

VCU is officially my only hope. I don't get it - I get a secondary and interview at VCU, but no love at my state school. Funny thing is, the top two schools on my list were VCU and my state school and if the cost was the same, I would pick VCU.

The update in December was on a Wednesday, and as I've noted from past experience, the personal e-mails regarding interviews and post-interview surveys are usually sent on Wednesdays. But, weren't the October offers made on the weekend?
