At my school our Wall of Shame was filled with drunken pictures and stupid things we used to say. A LOT of shame filled that wall. Ahh, memories (some a bit fuzzy)...

Snail mail. Eh, I didn't really care. They accepted 13/280 people out of state last year according to MSAR.

your mdapps page says you got a 40 on the mcat and rejected from northwestern already? is that true??

i didn't even know northwestern was sending out replies already...

my advisor told me students who go to school in Indiana get a little preference (even if the student is from out of state)...i guess she was wrong... :cool:

Hey- I know these kinds of condolences always sound trite, but seriously, don't sweat it. At the end of it all, you'll be looking back and laughing at Vandy.

Hey Jtank,

I guess I can speak on behalf of well..myself since I'm on that list 3 times. I actually didn't mind getting rejected from those three pre-secondary...rejections are going to happen in this process and dealing with it early on helps me I guess. Another thing is that it gives you a sense of comfort, that amidst all the interviews that are being granted to all the superstar SDNers, others are getting rejections as well. Oh and I was able to be pleased with myself for getting the Wake Forest Secondary even though those other three schools didn't wanna holler at me. Eh, whatevs. Just my two cents. :)

My understanding is that they give secondaries to NEARLY everybody, but that they do have some bare minimum criteria in order to get a secondary. I think it is something like 2.5 GPA with a 24 MCAT. I am a bit concerned because I still haven't received my Loyola secondary.

I applied two years ago, and had a 3.5 GPA and a 24 MCAT and did not get a secondary. So I think their standards are a bit higher... But I did get one this year with an improved MCAT. :)

Wowzer how did Pitt notify you and when were you complete? I had my amcas verified on June 14th and still havent heard anything...

i was rejected pre-secondary (no chance to complete with letters), via email
