Also, don't you mean DO/PhD? This is the pre-osteo (pre-DO) forum. Question related to pre-allo (pre-MD) should be directed to the pre-allo forum and questions related to MD/PhD and DO/PhD should be directed to the physician scientist forum; you are likely to get better advice there.

Today, I found to my surprise, that once you have certified your application, say without any selections for MD- PhD programs, you are locked out forever for this cycle to add later on any schools for MD - PhD. Hence, if you are contemplating of applying / adding certain schools for the MD - PhD program later, forget it. Spend your time NOW, have the other additional two essays and choose at least one school with MD - PhD program in your medical school choice before submission This way, you can later add other schools and re-certify.

What do SDN users think about this AMCAS policy? I think it is very restrictive and adds more stress in the early stages...
