Well I had the kaplan book but didn't have the time to go through all of those pages. So I ended up using FA almost exclusively. This was a bad idea for the biochem shelf as most of the questions were far more detail oriented than the level found in FA atleast in my administration. Keep in mind the more folks you ask the answers will vary depending on their administrations. Moreover, your administration may be different than mine as well.
I used the Kaplan book along with the videos, and that combination covered 99.9% of things on the shelf. Some of questions seemed to come word for word from little tidbits Dr. Raymond gave.
a few people i know are using rapid review biochem to prepare and they think it is much better than the BRS and better than kaplan. Taking biochem next semester so i cant give any first hand experience. best of luck
