My status page changed today to decision made. I interviewed exactly 2 weeks ago (dec 3rd). Should I be nervous????? I don't know what to think!

Hey whoknows 2012....I also interviewed on Dec.3rd. My status page just has my interview invite info. Is there another location to check status or is this where you found your status? Also, have you received any official notice from SUNY Upstate after this status change?

I didn't expect a response so soon, so I never checked my status page, but right now it just says decision made.

before you find out your decision, on your status page it should say status: decision made. That includes rejection or waitlist. Then a day or so after you have that status you should hear from them

Quick update for those interested... I e-mailed the admissions office, and they replied stating a decision was made Wednesday, and will be sent via regular mail after 1/1 (I assume due to Holidays). Since I have not gotten a phone call, and since I have zero luck, I'm making the dreary assumption this will be a rejection for me :cry:. Hopefully this information will be of use to others.

I agree ... you never know so stay positive! I interviewed mid-November and my status page just changed to Decision Made.

I actually just got a phone call today, even though I received the packet over the weekend.

Yeah it's not normally the way things go, it's only because my parents house is right in Syracuse I assume, close to the school. So the mail certainly doesn't take long from there.

Me too! Although I suppose it might dampen the holiday spirit to get a thin envelope in the mail beforehand.

My status page changed this morning to Decision Made. I received a call this morning around 11:30am. They told me that I was accepted and would receive an acceptance package in two weeks. (Interviewed: 11/18). It's been a long, difficult road ... what I have to say is keep fighting for your dreams because anything is possible! 🙂

i just got the phone call a bit over an hour ago telling me that I was accepted. I interviewed 11/24 and my status page had changed to "decision made" on Friday (that is the earliest I ever checked it though). first acceptance for me!

congrats to the others who have been accepted and to those who are still waiting: hang in there, stay positive and just be yourself at the interview and the rest will fall into place.

Got the call at 11:40am and am still in shock!!! I am still flying high!!! So excited! I'm gonna be a doctor! Congrats to those accepted! For those still waiting, keep your spirits high for there is always hope!

This is so nerve-racking...they should have a better system in place to take the stress out of waiting to hear once they have made a decision. I am beginning to think I am rejected because my status has said decision made since last Wednesday and I haven't received the email about being waitlisted and everybody seems to be getting the acceptance phone call! Congrats to everyone who has gotten an acceptance...I'll be waiting anxiously...(although at this point I don't think it will be good news)...I interviewed Dec 3rd btw...

Whoknows I feel your pain... I think I've had much more stress waiting for post-interview decisions rather than before. Just try to keep your mind off of it and hope for the best, what is meant to be will find a way.. Good luck to you and aznboy

I don't know if it will help anyone on here, but I just withdrew from SUNY (pre-interview). So if anyone is still hoping for an interview slot, one should be opening up in Feb. Good luck to all of you.

Just called, they told me my file hasn't gone to committee yet and the next meeting isn't until January. Oh well, what's another few weeks of waiting?

Thanks for all the advice guys....I called this afternoon and I was faxed my rejection letter...it was an interesting feeling being that this is my first rejection....O well I have 2 more interviews to go and I can only hope I get at least once acceptance!

So today (12/23) my status online was changed to "Decision made." I have not been invited to interview nor was I put on hold. I assume this means rejection. I'm not sure if this question has already been answered in this thread but after reading 10 pages I still could not find the answer, does anyone know what "decision made" means? My application was complete 9/12.

roy, unfortunately i think this means rejection. if you are on hold >> status disappears. if it reappears with decision made it seems to be rejection!

For anyone who's already been through this, I have a question regarding the "problem and how you solved it" topic. My life history is fairly unusual, and this topic figured prominently in my PS; I'm wondering if I should address the same material (though presumably in a bit more depth, since I'll have more space), or use a different, but much more innocuous example from my recent experience.

Normally, I'd assume that Upstate didn't want a repeat of any PS material, but I've heard that these interviews are closed file, and that the essays are basically the only thing the interviewer will know about you before you walk in the door. Is this true, and in that case, do you think it would be best to reuse my PS material, since it does address important issues in my application?

i'd say go ahead and write an expanded version of what you talked about in your PS. yes, those essays constitute all the info that the interviewer has about you and the essays aren't added to your file, so they aren't read by the committee, they're solely for the interview

You thought you were going to get an interview after only waiting 3 weeks? Many people here have been waiting for several months without hearing back yet. I would say your application is definitely late in comparison to everyone else and if you do end up getting an interview, it would definitely be for the late spring and by that time, you may only be interviewing for a waitlist spot. Good luck though.

Hey All!! My Upstate interview was on November 26th. My status section now says "Decision Made"...but I haven't received a phone call, email or letter🙁. I saw Decision made this past Monday, and when I called them the next day they said a decision hasn't been made yet and they would contact me when a decision has been made.. Im confused...

For those who were accepted, waitlisted and/or rejected -
How soon after seeing the status change on your page did you get an official notice of your status?

Well, I called them today, and they said that they made decision on Dec. 16th, that letters would be sent out next week, and Good luck, so Im even more confused and he said letters, so it looks like a rejection to me.. Imma just pray.. Still got faith and I know God will come thru.. Lukewarm news today. I got an email saying that I was placed on the High Priority Alternate List. I am happy that I finally got a decision, but I am uneasy because I don't know if I'll get into the other schools in which I interview. My next app to get a decision is New York Medical College, because they take forever even though I interviewed their before Upstate.

After that, its University of Louisville and Downstate, but I'm thinking since I am interviewing there so late, only waitlist positions will be available.

Should I start filling out an AMCAS application again? Is it too late the apply for a postbac program?

Or am I just panicking needlessly?!
