.Hello Everyone,

I have the 2009 Edition of Best 168 Medical Schools written by the Princeton Review. While I use it as a supplement to the MSAR from last year, this book is very helpful in my opinion in that it gives the AVG MCAT section scores and GPA for MATRICULANTS in the entering 2008 class instead of APPLICANT/ACCEPTED info like the MSAR. Here is the info for the schools that post it in this book. I got a little lazy and didn't list every school (most CA schools and some mid west schools) so if you want info for a school feel free to PM me about it. Take the info for what it's worth but it might be useful to some of you out there.

Thanx, np. Total/out is total students (applied, accepted or enrolled) and within that #, out is the out of state students (applied, accepted or enrolled)

Hey Taylor thanks so much for posting all that data, it must have taken you a while to compile.

It's kind of hard to make sure you have all your bases covered when coming up with a list of schools to apply to (that is to say, a "broad" list) without using any data like these.

It's so interesting to me that many places publish data but all the numbers are different... for instance, I have USNews data from the 2007 entering class and I was surprised to see that all of the average MCAT scores were quite a bit deflated from you Princeton Review 2008 data. The USNEWS data is also purportedly avg matriculated student statistics. Makes me wonder how reliable all this stuff is, but for the most part your numbers corroborate what I've got and if anything make me feel more comfortable.

Good luck with your applications, if you want me to send you the spreadsheet I have with my old USNEWS numbers let me know. I did only put in certain schools though before my subscription ran out.
