Too all the people who have been complete since September and have not heard anything. Have any of you called the admissions office or have sent a letter of interest? It seems like they haven't handed out any interviews in a while.

I was complete in early September. Called the admissions office and the lady just told me to check my status online...😕
 
Just checked my status today and received an interview invite! Wooo! 😀

FYI: you are asked to schedule your own interview from a list of available dates. There are two weeks in February and most of March with open spots. Don't give up hope if you haven't heard back yet.

See you at Drexel February 9!

I have so many question:
- when were u complete?
- did u get any email from them?
- does the status changed from complete to interview invite or u still have to press on this decision link?

Sorry for so many questions, just really nerveous and really want to go to this school🙂

Complete 10/28 I think. I only got emails on completion and to confirm my interview date. I found out my status by clicking through the decision link. The interview scheduler told me I would receive a formal email for my interview invite but I haven't seen that yet.

I'm a big fan of Drex too. They produce good docs. 👍

I was complete 10/08 - still "no decision", still hoping for an interview :xf::xf::xf:
 
I chose PIL over the traditional IFM curriculum in my acceptance packet paperwork, and received a call from the director of the program a couple days ago. She asked about my preferred learning style, and decided I'd be a good candidate for the program and that I'm in. I remember reading somewhere that you need to write a short essay explaining why you want to do PIL, but I was told I wouldn't have to do one.

Anyone else considering PIL?
 
I know this may seem like an annoying question but: I remember at the information session they talked about this school being different. How they aren't nit picky about grades and scores once you get the interview, does this mean the interview is weighed more heavily with LOR's rather than academics because you've already made it pass the cut-off point?
 
Has anyone else been put in rereview status? Anyone know if they usually interview off of this pool of applicants?

does your status say "rereview"? mine is still "no decision"...does this mean they haven't even LOOKED at my file yet? uff...

im pre-interview.. it says your application is complete and will be re-reviewed again later in the cycle, or something along those lines!!

You may get an interview and you may not. It's a very nebulous position to be in, and there's not a whole lot you can do to get out of it. You could try sending an update or interest letter, but I can't say for sure that it would help. Couldn't hurt, though.
 
I was complete on 9/8 and I called them a few weeks ago to get some sort of update. They said I was being re-evaluated and that worried me a bit. I got an interview invite last week on 12/2. I guess being re-reviewed isn't so bad lol

I'll be there on Feb 9th! 😀

No, it didn't. Unless it changed after i called them cuz i didn't check again til i got the interview invite email. Mine always said no decision, but I was told that I was being re-reviewed and that's y it was taking so long. i couldn't stalk the status page that much cuz it was stressin me out lol
 
Question:

Shall I call Drexel? It's been a very long time since my application and I loved the school. I don't want them to think I'm a psycho, but I also do not want them to think I'm just applying to apply.

my status changed as of today to decision has been reached an been sent to your preferred address. anyone know how long typically it takes to receive the letter? i live in philly so im not expecting it to take too long.....

I would like to know if they forgot about me or something. My status has been the same for over a month now.

Ughhh that sucks! But hey, look on the bright side (is there a bright side?)...at least you heard from them. It's been almost 3 freaking months for me 😡

Congrats!

I guess this means they have completely skipped my application...? I was complete in mid-September and have had "no decision" since then. No hold or re-evaluation or anything.

Tomorrow is going to be 8 weeks post-interview with the same "please allow 6-8 weeks for a decision" status. I know there are other ppl on here in the same boat as me (and some possibly even longer). Did any of you call the admissions office...if so, what was their response? I'll probably just give them a call tomorrow.

"We're backed up" or "It's the holidays" is what I hear every time I call. They won't give you any other explanation and will just tell you to wait and check your status page. Really isn't any point in calling other than to annoy them.... which is what I do 🙂.
 
I'm sure this has already been asked...but how are update letters/letters of interest viewed by Drexel Pre-Interview? I've been complete FOREVER (8/15) and still have the "No decision is currently available...keep checking this site for updates" status. UHG!!!

On the interview page, there should be all the information you need. I stayed at the Student Guest House. Miae is the owner and she makes you feel just like you're home. She eve!n takes you to the interview
 
nice to know there's still some hope for the rest of us... been complete since 8/25 and still not a word 🙁

I'm in the same spot. Complete 8/24...And nada. "No decision is available..."

I haven't called them before, and I'm tempted. But yea, I figured...they probably don't want to hear the same question for the billionth time. :\ And I'll probably get the "You're under review" response.
 
First status change! woot! 9 weeks post interview.... and my file has reached a reviewer.

What does it say now? I interviewed on 11/30 and mine says: "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University."

They need some sort of legend that tells us what stage in the process each status corresponds to and how many different statuses there are. I swear mine has changed 3 times since I interviewed and its only been 2 weeks.

You should feel fortunate. There are a few of us that are 7 or 8 weeks post interview who have not gone to the reviewer. Your interviewers write a recommendation about each candidate which is reviewed by a neutral member of the committee (as in they did not interview you). After they come up with some sort of recommendation, it goes to the committee for a vote.

My status was set to that a few days after I interviewed.. and it has been this way for about six weeks now. :/


Does anyone know if Drexel is open to receiving Update Letters post-interview?

It took me 9 weeks and 2 days to get that status that you have right now.
