i'm assuming no one yet has received a secondary. why do they make us wait soo long? 🙁

Last I heard, this won't be out til mid August. Who knows, maybe it will move up. Or back.
 
Do you guys know if Drexel have a maximum # set on the letters of rec they accept? I read in the online faq's that they accept additional letters, but didn't specify a max, so I'm assuming there's no maximum.
 
i don't even worry about the letter cap cuz my committee letter only counts as one. one more reason to apply through yours 😉

once this secondary comes out ill be all done waiting for MD secondaries =)

Anyone know when drexel's secondary coming?
 
Has anyone received the invite for secondaries yet? I'm beginning to worry it might have gone in my spam mailbox.
 
I haven't gotten one from them at all... In the MSAR it says that they send them to everyone, so I don't know why I haven't heard so much as a peep from them. I submitted my AMCAS back in June. I've heard from every other school except Drexel and OHSU (I applied to 15 total).

EDIT: Guess I should read all the replies first... But yeah, still no news as of 8/8... And I'm far from completeness. I've submitted only 5 of the 11 I've gotten back so far... Hoping to get 2-3 more knocked out before Monday.

No one has its not a big deal no need to worry. It should be out sometime within the next 2 weeks. THere is no need to panic, they dont screen and as soon as someone gets it trust me, they always immediately post here.

OHSU is switching from paper to electronic apps, because of this, they said the 2ndary wont be out till mid-late august
 
Got it this morning and submitted. Quick and easy.

I was verified 6/24. I have no idea how they organize sending out their secondary.
 
A lot of schools send them out in small batches to not overload their servers/payment system and to make sure that any kinks on their side get ironed out before everyone gets a secondary.
 
we will all get it slowly over the next 2 weeks or so. I wouldnt worry a ton

I wasn't verified until 7/20, and I certainly don't have a 4.0 / 35+ MCAT, so i doubt they are sending their applications off in order of preference. They're probably just sending in random batches.
 
Got the 2ndary today...
What do they mean by "Self-Calculated GPA"? not AMCAS gpa?

as for the breaks in education question...do they want us to comment on our activities since we graduated or is this only if we took time off during undergrad?
 
think its ok to put AMCAS GPA down for self calculated? wtf does that mean??

and im guessing they want to see all other UGs you took classes at??

i am non-trad, didnt do medical related activities during school. do i check the .[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Check if held only during breaks from school

.box every time?? or do they mean, during a summer vacation during school??
 
i think they mean summer vaca during school.

Yea man all they mean is whatever you think it is for the institution. I have 3 on there and had to go to the respective websites to break them down.
 
I didn't get a secondary either. i'm glad they don't screen.

I called, and they said that they are only referring to breaks DURING undergrad, not after.

hey i dont have it either😛...i have only 3 2ndaries left i dont really care too much. Im tired of these things 🙂
