Because of all the people who say the interview shows up on the status page with no email, I am constantly checking my page.. ahh! 🙂
 
Haha same here even tho I was only recently complete
 
about how far is the airport from where u are interviewing if driving?
 
around 25 minutes driving

the train is also very easy to use if you don't feel like renting a car or taking a cab

if u have any questions about taking the train u can PM me, I have been taking for the past 7 years

For those who have or are going to be interviewed, did anyone stay in the Student Guest House program thats offered to us in the email they sent us? This website -- http://webcampus.drexelmed.edu/Admissions/Myinterview/accomodations.asp

If not, which hotel would you guys recommend for me to stay at? All the student hosts couldn't host me ! =[

and if anyone is interviewing OCTOBER 6, PM me please!!! good luck to you all ! =]

I just rec'd the interview invite via email, a little over 2 weeks after finding out via status page.

me too! i guess they do this in batches... i sure am glad that the status page seems to be pretty reliable for checking your status! 🙂
 
complete 09/08/09 and have heard nothing yet. i've been checking the status page every day. this has not been a good week
 
9/08? dont worry about it, i have been complete since 8/19 and have no decision. I am getting worried because more and more interview spots are being filled.
 
Complete since Sept. 1 here... no decision.

That's where I'll be staying on the 13th & 14th. The owner, Miae, is really nice and it's only 1 block from the school.
 
interview invite... only some of december is open... almost gone
 
yes, complete 8/19 and scheduled for 12/07
 
wow this school is weird it takes 10 days to invite some people and for some people it takes months

OMG my application was complete 8/31. I just checked my status and everything was fine except for my letters of rec. weren't in. BUT that comes straight from AMCAS!!! So I asked him to pull it up and it updated a few seconds later. He said that was holding up my app for review -____-"

everyone go check that your letters are in 😡
 
"A final decision has been reached and a letter will be mailed to your preferred address."

just saw this on my status page (post-interview). anyone have any ideas if this is a good/bad thing historically?

From last years thread, it looks inconclusive...both acceptances and rejections after the status change. Good luck!!

For everyone here:

The status "A final decision has been reached and a letter will be mailed to your preferred address" is given to everyone regardless of whether the decision is an acceptance, rejection or waitlist.

Also, the letter itself will probably not arrive for at least a week. They have to print out all the letters, get them all signed, put them in envelopes and ship them out. It's not a particularly efficient process, but that's how it's done.

Just wanted to let you guys know, in case anyone is freaking out, that I got an interview invite today and I was complete in August the same day that they sent their secondary to me. So all hope is not lost. Just make sure to check those status pages because I wouldn't have known otherwise.
 
To those who have attended an interview at Drexel: 1) would you mind sharing the types of questions asked on the essay that you wrote at the interview? 2) Also, based on last years stats, it looks like there's at least a 50% chance of getting accepted here after the interview. Is it safe to say that an early interview invite + a good interview/essay= most likely an acceptance? I know this is hard to say, obviously, but just wanted some opinions. 3) I am interviewing on October 15th (the day many schools make decisions). When should I expect a decision from Drexel (approx.)?

There were several and they were mostly "How would you handle..." kinds of questions. They are nothing for which you can really prepare, but there was more than plenty of time through the day to finish it. Besides, I understood from someone that the purpose was to ensure the applicant was the author, so...

interview invite today...complete mid august!
 
complete mid august, just got the hold.
 
Man you guys are so lucky your fate has been decided (good or bad) haha but you could be accepted right now! My interview is coming up soon I really hope I do well drexel seems awesome I'd love to go here :xf:
 
anyone know about those who are put on hold, do they wait awhile before giving them interviews. etc. or what is the deal with that?

Nope, not yet, but I am now obsessively checking my status page. :laugh: I interviewed after you did, though.

The hold basically means that you're not officially out of the running, and they may (or may not) look at your application again later. It's very vague, and you probably shouldn't get your hopes up. You never know, though.
 
I wasn't aware that we'll have to write essays at the interview! I should have known that 2ndary was too good to be true.

It's not something to be too concerned about. You're given more than enough time to complete it over the course of the day.
 
Didn't read through all the posts... do they do student hosts?

I stayed with a student host. It was a good experience for sure and nice to see where the students lived/how they got around since there is no on campus housing at Drexel.
Also it's free, but be nice to your student host and buy her/him dinner or get them something to thank them!
 
that's interesting...I interviewed on the first day as well and it still says "your interview has been scheduled, please allow 6-8 weeks for a final decision" 😎
