Yay!!! I just got offered an interview for Spalding's PsyD program :soexcited:
 
Second go around this year. Got first invite yesterday 1/27 via e-mail. Still waiting on 3 masters programs and 3 PsyD programs.
 
thanks for those updates...i did speak with Brooklyn LIU - was told interview requests would be going out LATE feb (ugh!) all day interview event was typically held early march - St.Johns told me they were sending out requests late feb....good luck all!
 
Just an FYI...I got a response back from the secretary at Oregon and she said that all interview invites have gone out.... 🙁
 
Just got an interview invite from Louisiana Tech's Counseling PhD program. Interviews are Friday 2/26 & Saturday 2/27.
 
Has anybody heard anything from Minnesota or Indiana (clinical)? I know Minnesota interviews early in March, so they might be taking their sweet time, but there's the one lonely post about a phone interview up front.

UMN doesn't do interviews, but they have sent out some rejections via the online status update.

Does anyone know anything about PsyD invites for University of Denver? That isn't listed under the PsyD category.
 
I got my 1st interview invite last night! 😀

"We do not publicize that date for two reasons:

1. If something happens (weather, illness, etc.) to put off having our meeting, you will assume you are not getting an interview if you don't hear by that date.
2. For those that are NOT invited, once they are aware that "the date" has passed, they start calling me. This year, I have 430 applications. We will probably interview 50 people. That means I could have as many as 380 people call me, asking why they weren't interviewed, while I'm trying to frantically prepare for interview day for the 50 who are.

I will tell you we try to give you as much notice as possible, and once interview invitations are sent out, and responses received, all other applications will be processed, and you will be able to see your status online. As long as your status states "pending," you have not been denied.

We request that all candidates keep March 1 open, as it is our only interview day."

430 applications!! 🙁

I don't see SDSU/UCSD on the list, but thought I heard that they had already extended interview invites. Does anyone know about this? Thanks!

The person who originally said they got the interview was confused so futurepsyapp took it down. I'm getting really antsy about it because SDSU/UCSD is my top choice. I emailed Sandy Scott, the program assistant, to see when they plan on extending invites. I will post her response on here when/if she gets back to me!
 
For anyone interested, UMBC will be extending interview invites either late next week or the beginning of the following week for interviews on 2/18-19. I hope I get invited but that conflicts with another interview I have been invited to (UF)!

Me four... Grad Cafe has posted that someone received an invite from Curry today (1/28)... but I take that site with a grain of salt!!

yeah same with me- conflicts with another interview. though i did go to undergrad at umbc and work for my poi so im hoping maybe i could work something out. what are you going to do if you get the invite?

Same with me! 😕 Those dates conflict with two actually (one being my #1 and one where the only alternative interview date is also already booked....). Do I just have to let one go??

I've gotten an invite from Mississippi. I got a call yesterday, but it wasn't from my POI, and I don't think it was the DCT. I only received a voicemail, and accidentally erased it (gah! 😱), so I am waiting to get more detailed info in an e-mail.

That is probably really vague, and not so helpful, but I don't think they are done inviting people....

i dunno its a dilemma. i wish umbc wouldve sent out notifications earlier if they plan on getting people there in 2 weeks. anyone manage to work out an alternative interview/phone interview?

I'm not sure... Either I'll see if I can come the next weekend, try to do both because only 1 of the days overlaps (UF's is 19-20th), or as a final option I would opt for the phone interview since their website says they allow it.
 
hope i'm posting in the right place. hello everyone, I've been lurking around here for the past few weeks and thought I'd register on here. Best of luck to everyone at their interviews. I have my first on Monday so I trying to prepare for it. This site is pretty great for that (although of course I'm sure my blood pressure is higher because of it too).

yeah good idea, i would try for the 18th and then just fly out as soon as i can.

I applied there, too. I have not heard anything definitive from them, but they sent me two confirmation emails in the past few weeks (I was ready to kill them; I wanted an interview invite, not an application confirmation 😡). I say this because they mentioned that they are using a new system.

"We are implementing a new paperless admissions system and are experiencing some glitches. We very much appreciate your patience as we work through the complicated and lengthy admissions process."

This leads me to believe that we have some time before we hear from them.

By the way, has anyone heard from (all PsyD) Indiana State University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, or Nova Southeastern University?

Are you kidding me? NO!!! THANK YOU for your willingness to take on this task. You've been great and incredibly prompt with the updates. I'm so glad that I found this website and thread. Otherwise, I would still be completely in the dark about some of the schools to which I applied.

Agreed. Futureapppsy, I think can I safely say you made it so none of us had massive heart attacks due to the waiting. So thank you!

Got a phone call from POI on Monday morning, interview day is Feb.5th...same goes for Kent State, phone call Monday morning from POI but interviews are Feb.20

I'm waiting for NOVA too. As of yet I haven't heard anything. 🙁 I'm hoping/dreading that the updated post will have some info.

I spoke with someone at Nova yesterday and heard that they've just started sending out invites, but they're not finished. I was under the impression that it will be over the next 1 to 1.5 weeks.... Hope that helps! 🙂 Keep me posted if you hear anything!

I didn't receive the invite from ASU....someone else did. I was just asking in what form they received it, mass invite or POI. Sorry!

It does help, and not to beat a dead horse, but where are you looking to find online status? The only UMN status I can find is the ApplyYourself link, which only shows my status as submitted. Is there anywhere else to look for UMN status?

I noticed on the first page U Mass Boston was taken off the list. I guess someone mistook the invite to another school for that one?

when you log on, towards the bottom of the screen it says:

Submission Status: Submitted
Submitted Date: MM/YY
Decision Made
Application Status: Completed on XX/YY
Decision Status: Available beginning XX/YY
Your application decision is now available online <-click this link

But this is for the clinical child track, so I'm not certain whether or not rejections have gone out for the adult track. Best of luck!
