Hi peachtree.. No, Nor CA VA never sent me a confirmation. The first I heard from them was the invite. I also applied to Palo Alto and SF VA. I got an email confirmation from PA, and got the self addressed postcard confirmation from SF. By the way, there's a current intern from my program at Palo Alto, and she told me on Wed that they had not yet sent out invites yet. Good luck to us both!

Both NYU-Bellevue and Columbia have sent out invites for interviews (well, the child tracks have at least).

Thanks for the information. I actually applied to the adult tracks, so I guess there's still some hope😕.

I applied to the Bellevue adult track.. nothing at all from them yet.

Not that I'm really expecting to get an interview at Bellevue. They get like 450 applications a year! Still, it would be nice to hear back.
 
Hah.. I'm right there with you! If I got an interview, I'd be very surprised.
 
Just when I thought it was safe to take a weekend break from compulsive email checking....I got another invitation today.

I interviewed at Bellevue (forensic track, but my group also had adult and child applicants) last week but still haven't heard from St. Luke's. A few classmates of mine got interviews at Columbia.

Has anyone heard from Maimonides, Lenox Hill, or Manhattan Psych yet?

How did the Bellevue interview go? I am interviewing for the child track next week and I have no idea what to expect. Was it a pretty large group of applicants you were with?
 
I'm still waiting on Lenox Hill and Maimonides.
 
has anyone heard from the yale child study center?

i'm clearly too inpatient to wait until the 15th.....
 
Anyone heard from long beach VA? I think they were supposed to contact applicants by the 6th, but I haven't heard anything.😕

Nope. I haven't heard from them and neither has one of my classmates who is cleaning up in interviews. She also heard from the Seattle VA.

p.s. I think Long Beach indicated that they would notify applicants by the 12th, so there still is time.
 
13 apps sent for sites due 11/1 to 12/1. Not a one has replied with interview acceptances or rejections! I'm a little baffled since some of you appear to have already interviewed. Seems like most people here in the MD-PA-NYC corridor are still waiting. Thoughts?

You're not alone. Many in my program, who applied to programs in the northeast, are still waiting to get their first returns. Most of them applied to between 12 and 18 sites, so hang in there. They'll come. And many will likely be invites!
 
Has anyone gotten through to the Boston Consortium to schedule their interview yet? Are you all leaving messages and just hoping she calls back?

Based on the email, it says you can start calling this morning at 9am to schedule and can schedule up until the 17th. So I wouldn't get too anxious about it just yet. I'll probably wait a couple of days to schedule mine so I am more certain of my schedule (read: hopefully I'll get more interviews!!). Best of luck!

I just got through myself (it took about 9 tries). I don't think you should leave a message though, as it doesn't state to do that in the e-mail. Plus, with how busy this woman must be over the next few days, she isn't likely to get back to you for some time.
 
The northeast sites seem to be straggling, as half of the ones I have left are NYC/NJ/PA/CT....and none have said a peep (no interview offers or anything from classmates, on here, etc). My other sites are VAs, and I have no barameter of when I'll hear back, as some got back to me right away, and others were earlier due dates and *crickets*.
 
Anyone able to schedule an interview with Yale Med this morning? I keep getting the coordinator's voicemail and am unsure whether to leave a message or keep calling...
 
Heard from another by phone this A.M. This was a program that someone else on this board had said they heard from several days ago....which, I guess, goes to show that you shouldn't worry too much if others have heard from somewhere you haven't heard from. Easier said than done, though.

Has anyone who got an interview at Charleston Consortium heard back about their assigned dates?
 
Here is my conundrum....I am thinking I'm going to start booking flights for one of my weeks since I have interviews M, W, F....though obviously I still could get an invite for one of the T or Th spots, though that is unlikely.

Have people started booking flights/hotels yet?

Thanks for sharing this. It's really helpful. I haven't heard from several sites that others have heard from so this gives me a little hope🙂

Yes -- I am interviewing in Dec, so maybe they reponded to those people first. Even so, they took a long time to get back to me.
 
I have this urge to send an e-mail out to all my e-mail contacts - please do not e-mail me during the next two weeks unless you are an internship site!!

I've had about 20 e-mails already this morning about random unimportant things. Arg!

One good note - my e-mail inbox is cleaner than it has been in YEARS! :laugh:

That's the weird thing-- I asked for December too, but still haven't heard anything. I even emailed again last week to check in but no response. When did you hear?

I heard last Thursday maybe. After sending several emails and leaving a voicemail w/the secretary/contact person. You could try calling (I am guessing maybe that is what helped her get back to me?).
 
Has anyone heard from the Portland VA? I have been scheduling my interviews around their open house date, but am unsure if this is a foolish move.

I'm waiting on them too... no word yet. My classmate that applied last year said they notified her via snail mail (she couldn't remember the date). I've been checking my mail every day, but nothin' so far..

I'm curious what kind of ratio people are working with in regard to invites/rejections? You don't have to share, but I'm trying to get an idea of what is "normal". I know it varies if you apply to all very competitive sites, niche sites, etc. Right now I'm at 4 invites, 3 rejections, with something like 15 sites pending (a bit of overkill, but they were mostly VAs that offered a nice mix of what I want).
