Got an invite from Cornell!! 👍 But a rejection from MGH CBT track. :meanie:

Haven't heard anything from Monte, St. Luke's, or Beth Israel.

Have people got invites or rejections from Columbia (adult track), Bellevue (adult track), Yale Med (adult track), McLean, Ancora Psychiatric, or Pennsylvania Hospital?

Congrats, I had the reverse (interview at MGH, rejection at Cornell...kinda shows you how much of a crap shoot this can be). I haven't heard from Columbia (adult) or McLean...although I think someone on the board did hear from McLean sometime last week.
 
I got an invite from McLean via email today! Quite a surprise, since I had also seen that post from last week. Good luck, all.

I also got a reject from MGH - CBT 🙁 I got an invite from Yale Med last week, but it was adolescent track. Another student in my program applied to the Yale Adult/DBT and still has yet to hear.

I'm glad to hear people haven't heard from St. Luke's as I haven't either, but I could have sworn someone else on this forum had said that they had...😕

I'm still waiting on Columbia (adult), Beth Israel, Monte, Bellevue(adult), Lenox Hill, UMDNJ, Trinitas, St Lukes, Greystone Psychiatric, Gouverneur, Brooklyn VA. Anyone heard from any of the above yet?
 
Got rejected from Northern Cal VA and VA Seattle (boo!!). I haven't heard from Beth Israel, Montefiore, UWASH (although I assume rejection), Kaiser (LA or San Diego), Palo Alto VA, or SF VA. Not sure if this helps anyone.
 
I am waiting on Cincy and du Pont (although I assume rejection from both), AGH, CHOP, Ohio Psychology Internship, and Milton Hershey School.

Has anyone actually gotten a rejection from Cincy or du Pont?

Anyone hear from AGH, Ohio Psychology Internship or Milton Hershey?
 
I'm waiting on McLean, Montefiore, Columbia (adult), Emory, Maryland Consortium, U of Florida Health, and CAMH.

By e-mail - I definitely had brought my laptop to class and was hitting refresh while "listening" to various presentations. When I got the e-mail I almost shouted out loud in the middle of a talk.

A classmate of mine got an email invite for McLean today and she heard from Yale way back on Thanksgiving (I think the hospital track). She also heard got an invite from Dartmouth today via phonecall.

I'm still waiting on Maryland Consortium and Palo Alto VA...sigh....

I heard from Kaiser San Diego last week. I also heard from Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital in San Diego if that helps.
Anyone heard from Pacific Clinics, Children's Hospital Orange County, or the Sepulveda VA?

I've heard from McLean and Yale (adult/dbt) and been offered interviews... I also have a friend who interviewed at St. Luke's (adult)

Pacific Clinics a few days ago. Rejection.

Got another rejection today. New stats:

2 invites, 5 rejections waiting on 15 and getting worried!

I received an invite from Yale Med the day before Thanksgiving - others that applied Adult received invites at different times, one very recently.

I haven't heard from Yale (adult track), Beth Israel, Bellevue (adult track - but a friend of mine who works there told me that people are already getting interviews) or Pennsylvania Hospital. Got a rejection from Lenox Hill.

Has anyone heard from Cambridge Hospital?

bella hang in there! I had three rejections before I even got an interview so I know how you feel. You have many more options waiting out there for you, I am sure some will come through!
 
Bella, I know how bad it feels to get the rejections all in a row like that. I know you have a lot more places to hear from, though, so hang in there.

This process is the pits.🙁
 
Thanks everyone! You're all right. It's the way it goes and I do have 14 more to hear from. It's just looking grim. (well I feel like that!). Wonder if I over estimated my "specialness" 😉 We'll see what tomorrow brings...

Nope, I have yet to hear from them. Although I am nervous that I'm not going to be considered because one of my letter writers was confused by the upload process and uploaded his letter 2 weeks past the due date.... 🙁
 
I'm confused...someone posted on the forum that they received a rejection from a site a few days ago but I haven't received an acceptance or rejection. Is that a good sign?

This is not uncommon. I still haven't heard from Kaiser San Diego or UWASH and others have. And, two sites that I received rejections from sent me notice about 3-5 days after contacting others. I talked to a friend of mine who is on internship this year. She said this happened to her a lot last year (e.g., other people had heard from sites and she hadn't). Anyhow, she said that in half of these instances, she was offered and interview, and in the other half, she was rejected. If you're sure your application was received, I would just try to stay patient (and I definitely know this is easier said than done). Good luck!
 
I only received an email from 1 site saying that the site had received my application. However even for sites that were supposed to send something in the mail about the application haven't. Would it be okay for me to contact the programs to ask if they received the application? And what about other sites that were not supposed to send anything? Any thoughts?

I sent pre-stamped post cards in all of my apps and still did not hear back from so places so I contacted them to make sure they received my application. I also had the experience of one site emailing me and saying my AAPI part 1 was missing so that made me paranoid enough to contact everyone who I had not heard from by that date. Turns out that it must have fallen out of the envelope in the Detroit post office (I got it in the mail a few days later). Needless to say, I did not get an interview there 🙁

I'm still waiting on Ancora too. I got an interview at Trenton Psych in late Nov for Jan.

Because the final notification deadlines are so close, I do not think I would contact sites to make sure they received my application. I think it runs the risk of appearing impatient. I would guess that the majority of sites got your application without any problems so I would wait to contact them until after the deadlines have passed. Most of my sites did not send me notification to indicate that they received my application. The only way that I know my applications arrived is because I sent them through certified mail.

I am still waiting to hear from 9 sites so I think many just haven't sent out notices yet. Good luck!!!
 
Well, it helps to hear that other people are still waiting on many of their sites. I've actually been avoiding checking the forum for the past couple days....I think I'm going to limit myself to checking only once per day (that means I'll be back on 12:01 am!)😛

Was UMDNJ for Newark or RWJ? Was it the adult track? I'm still waiting on UMDNJ adult track-Newark...
 
All of my rejections so far were by email, while my invites have all been by phone (except one, that was by mail). Is this a trend others are seeing? Just curious if I should be dreading email or not...😉
 
Received an interview invite from VA Maryland Consortium today for the Health Track. Still haven't heard from the majority of the NYC or NJ sites yet, except for Cornell and the Northport VA.

All of my contact has been by email. Invites and rejections.

All of my invites and rejections have been through email so you don't have to dread it completely 🙂

Interesting and good to know. I wonder if it's something with the NY area where phone calls are preferred? I guess I'll find out soon enough!

it was for RWJ...

I have heard 1/2 invites from phone and 1/2 e-mail invites ...2 rejection through e-mail...so don't fear e-mail.....

Was it a personalized or a generic mass e-mail?
 
The invite from Maryland was personalized. Actually all of my invites have been personalized emails, except for the Northport VA. The rejections have all been generic.
