for Rochester at least. I was pleasantly surprised to see an invite, I wasn't expecting anything for a few more weeks, but I certainly won't complain

Hey jammy, congrats on the interview! Do you know what other dates Vandy interviews for MSTP? I wanted to call them today to reschedule, since its the same time as Rochester, but in the e-mail they said not to call for scheduling until next week.

I couldn't find anything on their website about other interview dates. I guess we can call monday to find out. I find it strange they want us to wait until Monday, but I suppose I will follow instructions.

This is almost as frustrating as it is exciting to read. Everyone's starting to get exciting interview invites, and my current research advisor is still dragging his feet on submitting his letter.

Oh, ouch. I feel your pain. Did you give a deadline? Mine didn't write my letter until the last possible minute, but I gave her an artificially early deadline and it worked out okay (not that I have interviews.... still waiting!)

For those of you with U Pitt invites, did they send an email? Call? Status update? Just wondering so I can stop checking my status every day if it's not going to be fruitful. Thanks... :oops:
 
I asked for late July, early August as a deadline, sat down for discussions with him, providing needed materials etc, weeks in advance. He has been "intending" to finish and submit it for the last two weeks. Now he's teaching graduate student neuroscience boot camp through next week. I'll be lucky to have it by the end of August at this rate.

i got an email. apparently you don't have to be complete at the med school just the MSTP application needs to be complete. my recommendations were FINALLY sent to AMCAS today so I feel the frustration too

Yes! This! Or, you see that people are getting interviews at places you haven't submitted yet and you feel like you're missing chances by not submitting earlier (even though it's still pretty early in the cycle.)

Thndr, was your "Application Complete" date for WUSTL when the website showed you had submitted all materials, or when you got an email from the WUSTL MSTP saying you were complete?

I ask, as I had a similar "website complete" date to yours, but didn't receive an email until August 11. And I've heard no news one way or the other from them, which seems odd.
 
i must say, alacast, your accumulation of interviews is awe-inspiring (though not surprising given your stats). i look forward to meeting you at the pitt interview though i'd rather not know who you are to avoid the temptation of persuading you to get bomber and miss your interviews.
