I interviewed March 22nd
I got waitlisted on March 29th (It was actually top 10% ranked my mistake)
I got e-mail acceptance April 30th

so I had to wait awhile. I know it can be nerve wrecking but don't lose hope seats will still move and when it does make sure you jump on sending the info they require. After the fin-aid app took over a week i just called the office for the rest to be sent by e-mail.

I got the 5% email on april 8th.

Any one spoken with admissions recently? any new info? Lets hang on folks, hoping for good news for every SDN member on this thread (Including me of course):xf:

There is great information being shared on there about housing and the upcoming required summer program (MAPS), as well as when everyone is planning to make their way to Nashvile.

We are about to be classmates so there is no harm in getting a jumpstart on getting to know eachother and learning and communicating with one another.

For those on the waitlist, from this thread it is obvious that there is movement so keep hope alive! (There are only 29 members currently on the group, some people might not have joined, but our class has 85 or 105 seats i believe, i forget which #, and to me that says the class is not full)

See you in Nashville 🙂
 
Is anyone else freaking out that classes are starting NEXT MONTH?!?!

And that some of us are still waiting to be accepted in order to start classes...NEXT MONTH?!?!?!

And that those of us who do not have an acceptance in hand will have virtually no time to make plans to live somewhere in order to start classes...NEXT MONTH?!?!

I dunno, I like to have a little time to plan, and I guess when push comes to shove you can make it happen, but I'm getting lightheaded even THINKING about the whirlwind of things that would need to happen in the next month, but that you can't really put in to action until you get that acceptance in hand...:wow:

Ya it definitely kind of sucks not knowing what you are going to be doing a month later...very stressful actually.

My plan is to fly to Nashville, live in one of those extended stay hotels until I settle in to my MAPS. Then look for a place to stay and such.

Actually scratch that, I'll be driving from CA to Nashville in my car, most likely all by myself. Well if anyone else gets in from CA, we should car pool = ROAD TRIP 👍

(The Wayne wait list is moving like hot fire, 13 people got off today, 20 altogether in this last week!)

No...I don't think I'm going to call until next week. When I call Mrs. Davis she just tells me to call Mr. Mosley. When I call Mr. Mosley, I get his answering machine so....I just email them instead of calling 😀
 
If it wasnt a mistake.....

i got pulled off the waitlist via email about an hour ago.

i interviewed March 29th. then i got a 5% email on April 8th. I sent a LOI about 4 days later.

now i need to wait for the background check to come up clean :xf:

i hope i get to see the rest of you on SDN starting with me in June. If the Committee really wanted to know who are really serious and committed to going to Meharry and coming out on top, they should really invest in checking this forum as a reference.

Good for you stickyblue, am really happy for you! He was definitely right in telling you that you will hear sometime around the 15th. Here's to hoping for some goodluck for the rest of us waiting!👍

Ive been working like a slave. But I decided its fun connecting with everybody waiting. It helps decrease anxiety. But I agree that when we all get in we should have a party, lol.

Yes an awesome party where only waitlister are invited :laugh::laugh: to make up for the anxiety we have all gone through.

What was weird was that someone who got the 10% list was pulled before someone with the 5% list. But anyway, I don't know how far down the list they have gone but I will sure ask tomorrow!!!

Lol. I was thinking about that too, O well either way, I guess the end justifies the means in this case. Admissions probably already knew they were gonna accept them so the order I guess didnt matter.
Anytime I call, they tell me to sit tight.As long as they are not just stringing me along I am willing infact to be glued to the seat lol. I think they should check this thread and grant everyone who shows continued interest automatic acceptance😀

:laugh: That is really funny! Have you tried calling Mr. Mosley? He usually has more specific information!

They really should check this thread! We have been posting here since like Dec/Jan or even earlier.

I'll be honest, I'm not a very religious person, still iffy on the concept of God. But yesterday, in my car, I started praying while I was driving. The funny part was that I don't know any of your names, so I was like "Dear God, please let medapplicant, Divajai, etc... get into Meharry!".


I hope God understands code names 👍👍

OMG, I did the same thing when driving back from work this morning (I worked the NOC shift) I was like, God let me and my fellow sdner's get accepted from the waitlist. Telepathy!
 
I just called Mr. Mosley, we were cracking up together for some reason...

Anyways I found out that the "ranked list" I was on is the top of the middle list 👍

He said that they are nearing the bottom of the high list so I hope my time is coming soon!

I think what he was saying is that people are still shuffling around and that later today they are going to get together and figure out what is going on. How many spots are open and so forth! It sounds like people are still deciding and withdrawing so they aren't sure how many peole yet.

Anyways here's to hope of coming off the list :laugh:

Yea, I just called him too. He said that I am in the middle. He however said they havnt yet assigned numerical numbers to the mid list. Right now they are still trying to get through the high list. Was this about the same info you got? I dunno if this is good or bad news, he didnt provide any additional info:xf: Hoping for the best

Ummm I think what stickyblu said was correct. The high list is ranked and they ranked a portion of the middle list because they are expecting to pull people from it.

The first time I called he said I was on the ranked list and that was a good thing. I asked him today if the high list = ranked list and he said no. The high list are people who got the 5% and 10% emails. The top of the middle list is ranked.

So basically they are going to go through the high list, then the ranked list, then if they need more people they will keep on ranking people. I know I definitely have a numerical assignment because he told me I did.

So it sounds like you are on the middle list but not on the ranked list. When they get through those people they will keep on ranking so don't give up! People are still withdrawing!!!!!!

Yea he said I was not so far from the top of the middle list however he didnt give me a specific number. This process is grueling! I dunno how the mid list works, BTW I interviewed on the 29th of Jan. Its been so long

Yea middle list is not ranked.....hmmm he did say I am highly ranked....he thinks I suppose.....man what a roller coast.....good luck to you guys

There is definitly a low list. So it goes high list (5% - 10%) then top of middle list which is ranked, then rest of middle list, then low list.

It seems pretty clear to me. But if there's something that's not making sense to you, you're probably the best person to make the call so that you can have your questions answered.

Ah yea maybe I will...anyways whats not clear is that Mosely told me the list is not ranked.....now I believe there are some ranked people but my understanding however is they are in the process of ranking everyone on the middle list just like the high list.......this I believe is why he couldn't tell me exactly where I am even though I am ranked.

I think you are right in that most of the middle list isn't ranked. I was told I was on the ranked list ~2 weeks ago? I'll have to check when I posted that info. So it seems that a small# of people are on the ranked list which is the top of the middle list.

However you are right in that the rest of the list isn't ranked. Mainly because they don't have to rank everyone, it seems tedious and not necessary. What Mr. Mosley said was that as they go through the ranked list, they will begin to rank more people and so forth. This does make sense.

Personally I do believe everyone has a composite score already, but I don't think the ranking is based on the raw score. This is where showing your interest kicks in. I highly doubt that my raw score is very high but I have been emailling Meharry since Feb, >1/week and I'm up to email #15 now so that is probably why I made the ranked list (this is what I'm speculating).

I know, huh? It's absolutely disgusting! :laugh: I'm on 3 waitlists, still waiting for word at 1 school and 2 other programs.

No being on one more wait list is a good thing! I would much rather be on 3 than 2!!!!

With all those options you will surely get in somewhere 😀
