Hi,

I am currently in the process of working on my MSTP secondaries, and I wanted to get a feel for when people generally submit them. I'm planning on working on them till mid-August or so, submitting most between now and then. Is that considered late? And, how soon do people hear back about interviews?

hearing back depends mostly on when the school's interview dates begin and if you apply several weeks before then or not.

Mid-August is perfectly fine. You will be in one of the first batches of applicants reviewd.

I submitted my secondaries in November and December, and it hurt me IMMENSELY. Luckily, I ended up at a place I really wanted, so I got lucky. But in case there are any applicants out there reading this who are waiting, submitting early is only slightly less important than a good MCAT, GPA, and LORS 🙂
