It'll probably be next Monday for you, but it should be today for me.

yup! I called and the office and the lady told me when gets decisions and when she puts them online. From what I was told, I think decisions are finalized on Monday (10 days after the interview) and then released Tuesday morning. Calls may or may not happen on Monday afternoon. Good luck!

Just interviewed. Amazing, totally blown away.

So after 10 days, they call you or is status changed first? What were you guys' experience?

Friday 10/16, early in the morning - status page acceptance
Friday 10/16, around lunchtime - email to tell me my status page updated
The next week - phone call

Wait, so 10 days? Dean Capers said 2 weeks, I'm kind of confused.

10 business days. Your status page will probably go up first.

Then again, I got called about my interview a day before my status went up.

The email notifications for status changes won't necessarily be in real-time.

Interviews were great, but I have a feeling I'm rejected or at most deferred. We'll see.

That's silly! Ohio accepts like 66% of those interviewed right? I bet if it felt like it went well, your chances are really high. Who'd you interview with?

No idea about their names. Can't remember their names even if my life depended on it.

Not being judgemental to anybody -- aren't we supposed to get names to write thank you letters, or are we supposed to be writing generic thank you letters to AdCom?
I haven't interviewed with anybody yet, so, once again this is just curiosity & nothing else.

it's a good courtesy. i got a business card from my interviewer, and i made a note of the other interviewer's name. looked him up later to confirm i had the name right.

but usually i mail it to the interviewer's name to admissions office.

It's a matter of preference. I viewed it as unnecessary and I didn't send any thank you notes. It doesn't impact your admissions decision one way or the other.

After being accepted to Case, I emailed my faculty interviewer to share the news with him. My OSU interviewers actually emailed me so I emailed them back saying thanks. It's all a matter of preference.

But do grab a business or something from all your interviewers in case you have more questions for them.

I knew I should have asked for business cards. Fail.

It's OK, Personally, I just sent emails to everyone. For OSU at least send a thank you email to dean Capers.

where's all the excitement from people who were accepted yesterday/today?!?!

I got the acceptance call yesterday from Dr. Capers and am really excited! It hasn't completely sunk in for me yet though.

I'm OOS and I interviewed on 10/21. I got called before the status update.

congrats everyone. sounds like a ton of SDNers are getting accepted.

i hope there's still space for me when I interview late january.:scared:

I know plenty who were accepted last year from later interviews (dec-jan-feb) so no worries man

Yup, that's what all those deferred people are for.

can i expect to be back at the airport at 5pm to go home?

and is a roundtrip price of $270 a good deal? seems a little pricey.

weird how my roundtrip to NY, during thanksgiving week no less, came out to be only $310.

thanks guys.

1) 5 pm is a bit rushed, 5:30 is OK, but 6 is safe.

2) It depends on where you're flying from.

We ended right at 3, the admissions ladies so kindly actually called a taxi for us (totally amazing, I mean seriously that was so nice), and we got to the airport by 3:45 PM.

which airport do i fly into?

my flight would leave at 5:25pm.

thanks guys.

umm, it ends at 3? i was thinking 4 for some reason. we did have to wait around for quite a while for some guy who's changing out of his suit, so it took us over an hour, so the time might be tight.

they said it could end at 4. it probably depends on your day and how you kick it with your last interviewer. if they say it ends at 4, i wouldnt plan a flight for 5 but 545 is more than enough

if your flight is in mid january i would use Bing to track prices because they may not have had all the flights scheduled for that route yet (possibly). there isnt really a good reason to buy now

From now on, interview days are scheduled to end at 3 PM. Before November, I guess it was 4.

ahhh that's right, i remember now. On the interview invite thing they had different start/finish times depending on which date you interview. That's why I thought it was 4. 5:25 flight should still be fine. That gives you a bit leeway just in case your ride is late or you have to wait on something/someone or some random holdup at the airport.

southwest has a deal for $270.

though it's extremely early, that does seem to be a very low price regardless.

can anyone agree on that?

i don't want to miss out if that's the case obviously
