Love / Hate relationship if I've ever seen one lol. But at this point I'm willing to ride it out with this kid.

If you compare him to Vince Young, he might even be a step ahead after 2 years playing. Hopefully he makes the same type of leap his last 2 years!
 
For a letter of interest, is it better to send it to the general admissions email or to the dean's email? I feel like if I just send it to admissions, it'll just be placed into my file and no one will ever read it.

Haha...I'm usually not that neurotic and don't plan to do this for other schools. But this is the school I really want to go to and have good reasons. I just figured it can't hurt.

Anyone know what hotels people have been staying at? I know they provide you with a list but is there any one in particular that gives good rates/shuttle?
 
I stayed at The Blackwell. It's $159.00 a night but it's incredible and the rooms are huge with lots of work space. It's run by their business school and it's right on campus. You can walk to your interview in a few minutes.

I highly recommend it you want to stay somewhere a little nicer and relax before your interview day.
 
I stayed at the University Plaza. Nice hotel. Free breakfast and internet access.
 
Stay at my place...its free and on the same street as Meiling
 
I stayed at a friend's place (an OSU undergrad), which turned out to be several blocks from the medical school building. That was a fun walk in my suit with luggage (since I was leaving right after). It was also pretty hot out...
 
You know guys -- when this is over, lets have a party before school starts -- say in June. Nice Summer weather, lets do loads of grilling & loads of beer/whatever. Any takers???
If I get in -- I'll get a bottle of Dom Perignon!

No, I thought I would hear something for sure today. I am getting anxious. I interviewed on the 2nd.
 
Me too I interviewed on the 2nd and nothing so far.
 
they interviewed 11/2 and 11/4, maybe they are sending out both decisions together?
 
Yeah, I don't know what to tell you blue. I haven't heard anything either. However, I did check my status page and it still just says "interview complete". Maybe they didn't get around to it today. Better luck tomorrow?

Hope so. Are there really only two of us from that 11/2 group on SDN? Wish I knew if others from 11/2 got calls.

Status change are always posted on Tuesday as I recall
 
i really hope i forget my OSU status check password after i get accepted. i feel like i wont though. makes me feel weird that i know the password without looking it up

yea idk i can just go to the status page and idk, type in the password from heart and not be thrown off by it. its like the first letter of your first name, last 4 #s of amcas, last letter of your last name and then first 2 #s of amcas. i think its a really complicated password if you take a step back and look at it. maybe because all my pw are like dogcatlovex0x0ladygaga but i just feel like a really intense pre-med for being able to recall the OSU status page pw! you dont feel that way?

Deferred. So when do they look at us deferred people again? It says our applications are looked at every week, but wondering if I stand a chance.

:\ that sucks bro. I'm sure you still have a chance! Remember that OSU has a big class size, so I envision there will be lots of ebb and flow as far as acceptances go.

I'm not sure. But February wouldn't be as bad as some places.

Hey BlueElmo -- cheer up man. You atleast are definetly going to med school!!! I would say 50% of candidates at this point (me included) still dont know if they are going to get in & 10% of the overall will NOT get in at all.

Im in a similar situation as you, deferred at THE osu. i went through last year's forums and it looks like they start looking again in mid January

I looked up last year's too, and there was one guy who was deferred and then accepted in December, apparently.:xf:
