If you guys really want to go to OSU you better start drafting those letters of intent
Accepted (35, 3.98 if interested). I'm sorry BlueElmo for the deferral and I wish you luck over the rest of the process.
Deferred. So when do they look at us deferred people again? It says our applications are looked at every week, but wondering if I stand a chance.
Hey Elmo,
Im in a similar situation as you, deferred at THE osu. i went through last year's forums and it looks like they start looking again in mid January
earlier than case, which is march
interviewed yesterday...this school rocks. the facilities, people, etc are awesome. students are happy, what more could you ask for?
but...the actual interview was the most odd of all the interviews ive been one. had two faculty at the same time and while one was nice and said it would be conversational, i ended up just being grilled by the other interviewer with question after question about pretty much every standard/nonstandard interview question out there 😵
kinda hard to judge what they thought
I looked up last year's too, and there was one guy who was deferred and then accepted in December, apparently.![]()
I interviewed at OSU in September and was deferred as well, but the two student hosts I stayed with were both accepted from the deferred list in early December. They said it was not uncommon so I think (I hope) there's still a shot for us deferree's.

I'm in too, looks like I'll be a Buckeye next year! It'll take a while getting used to the red, but I'll have to, BYU blue might be mistaken for that other blue school.
The deferred list is difficult to generalize because its different from year to year. Last year, very few deferred students were accepted than average because more students matriculated than the OSU admissions office believed would. But, there is still hope.
Last year, I was deferred after interviewing in mid-October and I sent at least three update letters, hearing nothing until mid-May from the admissions office that basically told me to keep waiting. Thankfully, I received a phone call in early July accepting me, so there is still a chance for those on the deferred list, but there is no telling when you will get in, if at all.
In any case, best of luck to you all in the application process.
For anyone who is interested, I finally got my OSU e-mail set up, but I had to contact IT and ask them to fix it. So if you're having problems, send them an e-mail. The admissions office can't help you with that.
i got an acceptance letter w/ notice of $25 nonrefundable deposit a couple days ago to my HOME/permanent address. call your parents?did you get acceptance letter yet? I think someone said the office has not sent them yet

ok basically, the ppl that send the letter got a new person, and missed one of the weeks...everyone else got it except us
whoops! shall i shoot them an email?
nope got it fixed, we should be getting it soon
Is the e-mail supposed to come with the acceptance letter? I received the letter but no e-mail.😕
What do you mean? The only email you should get is one that says "Yo, check your status, there be changes." Mine came a couple hours after my status had changed.
that's exactly what the email said.

http://8help.osu.edu/34124.htmlA few people earlier in the thread said that they already received their osu e-mail account.. you know 'student@osu' e-mail. That's what I'm wondering about because it didn't come with my admissions packet.
Interview invite today!! Already interviewing for March spots yikes! OOS Complete 9/3
So I just received an interview invite, so excited!! I'm just a little worried that it's in March, will there be any spots left at that point? 🙁 It doesn't matter a whole lot since I will definitely still come to my interview even if it's for a waitlist spot, but does anyone have any info about this based on past application cycles? Also, I wanted to visit some family in Ohio over the winter break which for me is about a month from the 3rd week of Dec through the 3rd week of January. Do you think if I let them know about this they would be open to moving my interview date if an opening became available so I wouldn't have to make two trips? Thank you!

🙁 we could not pull it out against tar holes...doubly hurt cuz i'm a Dukie
i actually went to HS w/ lauderdale. every friday...some great games. and the playoff run we had was great until we ran until raymar morgan and canton mckinley.OSU has no frontcourt whatsoever. Until they fix that, they can't expect to beat teams like the Tar Heels. Lauderdale is decent on defense but his only way of scoring on offense is by dunking the ball. Kyle Madsen was completely overmatched out there. Sadly, Evan Turner is their best post player....
They probably won't change your date. I inquired about this, and they said they can't move your date earlier, because they are all booked. But you can change your date to later.

i don't know if this is too indicative of the entire season to come (and it's so early). i feel like the strength of UNC IS their front court w/ davis and zeller...not too many teams have so many legitimate big men who clearly will go pro (well maybe not clear w/ zeller) at some point.
Poor Michigan, no bowl game for them. Feel sorry.
