Got the review letter as well. Pretty sure 99.9% of the time this ends up being a rejection, as most do not get off this death hold. Bummmmer. 🙁

Same snail mail dated 9/15.
I got the complete email a while ago though my online status didn't change. The letter did say that one complete review of our application has been done and that they are waiting until the review other applications. Whether true or not, the logic makes sense. It would be pointless to hand out all interview invites without going thru all the applications.
We'll wait and see!
Thanks, but I thought that was the whole point of rolling admissions, that they'll interview and accept any candidate that they deem qualified, so that later applicants, even if they're more qualified, may only be interviewing for the waitlist because all slots are filled up.

Nope... I'm on hold and mine says "Our records indicate that your application is complete, and is currently being reviewed by the Admissions Committee. You will be contacted by mail and/or phone during the next several weeks with its decision."
How is that "on hold"? It's the "complete email".

You don't have an MDapps profile so I wonder why this has happened to you but I think if you don't get off the hold at a few of these by Nov end then I would send updates to each of these schools and show interest. Good Luck!

I feel for you man...although I got interviews last year, I waited 8 long months before finally giving up all hope....
But, like someone else suggested, make a mdapps profile, and people on this board will help you help and give you some suggestions.

I just finished planning my own itinerary and a taxi from the train station will cost ~$25 according to the hotel staff I talked to. Most hotels around the med center have free shuttles that will take you to campus in the morning and that will go to the airport.
I drove to PA and stayed at the Days Inn at Hershey. They only charge $49 per room to medical school interviewees, and they offer a free shuttle service to the school. Good luck to everyone with upcoming interviews!

just got the "continue to review" letter in the mail too. At least schools are now telling me I'm being put on hold lol
davis i believe it takes about 20-25 min from med school to the Harrisburg airport
Wow wish I knew that as well before I booked mine.
Guess priceline isn't all that cheap, though I do get shuttle service to/from airport and to/from med center.

I got the continuing to review letter this year and last year as well. Last year I got an interview from them in January, with an eventual waitlist and rejection in August. I'm pretty sure people get in from it though.
I think I might write them a letter about how much I <3 their school. I really loved Penn State when I visited last year, even if its a bit quiet in the area.

Love this school. Right up there with Tulane (sarcasm) on the timely responses. Sent the admissions office an e-mail 10 days ago (yes it's in my sent items) no response. I still have the "we have not determined if your secondary application is complete" yet. I really think this MCAT retake where scores didn't come back until Sept. 1 messed me up. Granted scores were better but I had all my secondaries into these schools in July that they couldn't look at. 😕
Yeah...waiting to be complete sucks, but they were quick on the interview invite! I hope you hear back soon.

Got the same thing as I checked the mail on my way to the airport to my Case interview.. shoulda waited til I got back to check it..

That's my understanding... I'm right there with you.
Any food suggestions? Any quick sights? I'll be arriving the night before and I'll have an hour or so after my interview to drive around.
