Ya I did a little while ago too. I have no idea if we actually have a shot or not from this point... anyone else have a comment on the "continue to review" or hold or whatever status?

Nope, not yet. But I'll be checking my mail the next few days. I wouldn't be surprised if I got rejected or put on hold, I didn't really click well with either of my interviewers.[/QUOTE]


Hey guys, I interviewed with ya'll as well (small SDN lol). I was the one that came running in because I thought I was going to be late (I was also the only Indian guy there).

Congrats on the acceptance! I'm hoping to hear back soon, my interviews went well but hey who knows in this world lol.

My status is "
Our records indicate that your application is complete, and is currently being reviewed by the Admissions Committee. You will be contacted by mail and/or phone during the next several weeks with its decision".

I know that they send status update by email. Does my status mean that I'm rejected? BTW I have it since 10/20 😕:scared:

No, that doesn't mean you've been rejected. That is the status everyone has when they're complete, and it is the last time they will update your status on that site. Interview invite will come by email, hold (pre- and/or post-interview)/acceptance will come by snail mail. Not sure about rejections because it doesn't seem like anyone has gotten one of those, but assume it's snail mail.

Yep, I got the same letter. I'm on hold for a lot of schools.

This is nerve wrecking. But I'm expecting the worst, hoping for the best. 🙂

Hi, friends--Just wondering, has anyone received a "completion" recently? If so, (and if you don't mind sharing), could you please include when you submitted everything?

I'm in limbo here (going on 2.5 months), and was just hoping at least to gauge where they're at in the process.

Yup. I assume you are the one that's friends with Jesus and the Hotdog. Congrats again on getting in man.

I called the admissions office and linda believes that the committee doesn't send out decisions necessarily at the same time for a particular interview group: it depends more on when your interviewer gets back to the committee with an evaluation. I don't know if people knew that already or not but there you go.
 
so just to get this straight - post interview, they accept updates/LOI/etc, but if you get the hold list letter, they dont want you to send them anything?
 
Just withdrew my application/canceled my interview. Great school, but decided to go elsewhere. I hope another SDNer gets my spot! Or gets to move their interview sooner. Good luck everyone 🙂

I don't think they accept updates post-interview either. In my post-interview hold letter, they emphasized that they would continue to evaluate my file as it is right now, with the exception of an updated transcript, if applicable. I forget the exact wording, but it seemed pretty clear that they do not want updates.

Yeah, that's me. I'm rooting for you my man.

I heard the same thing about the interviewers needing to make it to the committee meeting at other places, so that makes sense. They also told us at the interview to expect to hear in 6-8 weeks, so who knows.

I submitted everything by the end of September and I just got the complete email on 12/2. No kidding.

Just got the "complete" e-mail today.
I submit my secondary on 10/1.
I will probably decline an interview at this school anyway.

Awesome! I am jealous I was complete 11/13 and have yet to hear anything (no hold no invite)

Penn state is probably my second choice (after my state school) so I really want to get an interview invite.

What is the date of your interview?

I submitted my application 9/15, status changed to "under review" 10/20 - no word since then🙁

I actually sent in an update before I received the hold letter and I got a reply from the asst director of admissions saying thanks for the letter, and that it will be placed in my file for further review. I didn't know they didn't like that haha

They must like you because when I asked them a question by email, I never even received a response. I got the impression that they're a little overwhelmed over there...
 
Weird, when I sent my update, they replied back they don't accept any updates.
 
Btw this is not a post interview hold, I'm on hold after they reviewed my file haha. Thats probably the difference I'm guessing

Because I've been complete and was put on hold a while back, but my status has always said, "Our records indicate that your Secondary Application has been received, but it has not been determined whether your application is complete or not at this time. Once that determination has been made, you will be notified via email."

if this helps any, I Interviewed Nov 9 but heard nothing yet...hopefully soon. My interviewer said they have to write something about you and then give it to the adcom to make a presentation about you and then they vote if you should be accepted or rejected or put on hold. So its a lenghty process that depends on when our interviewer gets back to the adcom. 🙂
 
11/11 for me, no word yet... funny thing is i think SDN will know what happens to me before my parents do... (addicted?? lol)

Thanks for the tip... and the humble reminder. It's the one post where the guy heard back in 33 days that has me checking my mail box incessantly.

I submitted my secondary to Penn State first week of October. I still haven't heard back ANYTHING (no interview invite/on-hold/rejection). Until recently, I wasn't even "complete".

How do I know when I'm complete? And is anyone in the same boat (submitted same time as me or even before, and not hear anything back yet)? Thanks! Waiting sucks...🙁
