I was intially on hold list and now I received an envelop saying that i am on alternate list. I received all the health forms. Is this better or is everybody else who are now on alternate list getting the health forms too?

I believe that everyone who is on the alternate list receives the health forms.
 
accepted yesterday!!! initially on hold, then got on alternate list and then got a call yesterday. 🙂
 
Interviewed 12/8. Alternate listed 2/7. Accepted 6/2 via phone call.

They ask if you have any commitments to other schools, but if you say you will attend Downstate they will send you the acceptance package.

hey! soo anyone who's gotten an accceptance call... what number do they call? your house or your cell? im leaving the country for a week and if they call my cell i wont get it 🙁

When you're put on the alternate list they ask for a phone number. They will call whatever numbers you write down. You can also authorize other people (parents, friends, siblings, etc) to speak on your behalf.

Have you been alternate listed? If you haven't then you probably have nothing to worry about for the next week or so.

ok that's good news... at least i wont miss the phone call. i havent been alternate listed i'm still on hold

If you want to be really careful then email them and give them a number to call for someone that can speak on your behalf.

if you don't pick up the acceptance call, it's fine bc they still end up sending you the acceptance packet the next day.

i got alternate listed- when should i expect any changes to my status?
also i saw ppl complaining that american heart association is booked for cpr's- wanted to let u kno that i just got certified by a lady who is a cpr instructor in her home and she charged only 75 dollars- her number is 718-645-6511

A week or two after you send in the alternate response form.

I don't know if they will accept your cpr certification, call the admissions office. They are pretty insistent that you get certified by the AHA.

Does anyone know where I can find the white coat form we are suppose to submit...I don't think I ever got the form. Was it suppose to be in the acceptance envelope?
 
I know people have been accepted from the alternate list after being put on hold. How long after being put on alternate, were u guys accepted?

I just received my alternate list letter today (I was on hold)

put on hold the 27th of May accepted June 1

For all those on alternate, does your status page have a section where there are red marks for acceptance response, white coat form, deposit fee, college transcripts etc etc..together with the health forms section/???? I mean why are they making it sound like an accpetance rather than a alternate/waitlist??

I have not been accepted but I am on their alternate list. I do have the checklist for health forms and the white coat ceremony, etc. I have nothing that says "acceptance response" though. Are you sure it says that? Mine says "admissions deposit" if that's what you mean.

If it's any consolation the alternate invitation means they expect they'll get to our names eventually and it's still pretty early in the admissions process. I wouldn't lose hope.

I am on the alternate list and I have a section saying "acceptance response", as well. Not sure what to make of it, since it's been there for quite a while now.

I checked mine again and it says Acceptance reponse..and I do have admission deposit as well..
 
So I can confirm that mine DOES NOT say acceptance response. I really don't know what it means for you guys. If you both get an acceptance packet this week or a phone call then we'll know how to tell early if acceptance is imminent 🙂
 
hmm i sent my alternate form via fax and i dont have either. i guess i should call them and confirm that they received my alternate response form.

I do have all the spaces for the health forms and all the other stuff. It also has a green checkmark in the box next to alternate response, but I do not have a category of acceptance response.

thats cool. i sent mine on the fourth when i got the packet in the mail, they should have gotten the form by now. How long did it take for it to register online after you sent in the form?

No idea. I didn't send the form, I emailed them the information. If they've updated for me they should have updated for you.

They said no action is required on the white coat form at this time. It will probably be sent closer to August.

yes! i had the same issue all of yesterday. it seems to have improved and i can get in now. give it some time and maybe try again tomorrow.

Alternated listed via snail mail.

Anyone know what are the chances of being accepted after this?
 
YESSSS!!! Interviewed early April, put on alternate list, accepted 06/09 via phone call! To anyone still on the alternate list, you still have a chance. Good luck everyone!
 
Anyone on Hold not heard anything yet? Seems like everyone has been moved to the alternate list....🙁
