Not sure about this year, but last year Temple divided their class into quarters, so when we interviewed in March, there were still 1/4 of the spots for the Class of 2013 available. This is a nice alternative to rolling admissions. Not sure if they are doing this for 2014 though.

That's nice. It's like a modified rolling admissions. I wish more schools did that.

Interview invite today! I was complete the first week on August, so don't lose hope! Earliest interview date was 1/20....

Hi everyone,
I'm a first year at Temple and I just wanted to let you know that I check this site almost daily for any questions that you guys may have for me. I am more than happy to help.

I just checked my status and to my surprise found I was invited for an interview! 🙂 I submitted my app on 9/26 but didn't get any e-mails. The earliest interview date available was 1/20.

Are the Hilton and the Hampton Inn both the same distance from the school?

question for some of you current Temple students:

If you could choose again, where would you live? the suburb areas or center city

For some reason I remember each being like a 20/30 min car ride/subway (at best) to get to the med center

I received an interview invite w/o an email, just a status update on the website. Is this strange or is this normal?

I think there may be a few more people living in the city compared to the suburbs (east falls, manayunk, roxborough). It's really easy (you do go through parts of the ghetto, though) to get to the MERB from the suburbs and takes about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. I believe it takes roughly the same time to get from the city to school...the only downside about living in the city and taking SEPTA is that it does not run 24/7

I live in Manayunk and would definitely live here again.
-pros:Main street has a lot of good restaurants, shops, bars, etc and is always hopping at night and the weekends. Has the feeling of a college town at the bar scene (which reminds me of college...some people may not like it). I really like the townhouse/rowhouse feeling of the area and it's for most parts safe.

-cons😛arking around here can be really annoying if trying to park after 7pm or on the weekends (hopefully you can/learn parallel parking). It is really hilly...you'll see if you check it out.

The parties after exams/quizzes usually switch from taking place in center city and manayunk so you get people to experience each place...and there is a very high turnout at these events

that's all I can think of now...if want anything specific answered i'll be glad to help

I got an invitation to interview over email on Nov 4th - I called and scheduled the interview over the phone but did not get a confirmation email like I was meant to - My status page also still says under review...should I call or what?

Mostly in the form of loans, but I know there are merit scholarships as well as some other types of scholarships...I don't really know that much about them, though.

anyone know if there is a deadline for putting down deposits?

I know that in my acceptance letter, it said to submit within 14 days of your acceptance, but the deposit is fully refundable. You can do so online where you checked your status. Congrats on the acceptance- maybe we will be classmates in the fall!

Gotcha, well the problem is I can't do the online deposit cuz the function is broken. And I haven't gotten my offical letter yet. So I guess I'll keep calling them but the admissions office doesn't seem to know what to do about the broken online deposit stuff.

NVM, they just fixed it 🙂

Yay interview invite! 🙂 I'm stuck at the airport on my way home from another interview when I just decided to check my status on my iphone. I tried to schedule the date online but it looks like there are NO dates available?? All months of the calendar look empty. Anyone else have this happen?

when i scheduled earlier today there were only two slots available. my interview is scheduled for the afternoon of january 28th. the other slot (if i remember) was a morning interview on january 27th.

you should probably just contact them

If you don't mind me asking, when were you complete?

My status was changed to "invited for interview" over the weekend and I just got an e-mail today. So, I think their e-mail system is just running a little behind. Make sure you check your status if you're waiting for an interview!

Yes, call them to make sure. I think the folks there are swamped, so things aren't going perfectly.

They've opened up more interview dates so the online calendar should be working now.

Dude, thats AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gratz!!!!!

Temple is awesome, if it cost the same as my state school I would go there in a heartbeat. Maybe I'll see you next year. :meanie:

For those of you who were accepted, did you find out through e-mail, status on the website, or snail mail? I just checked my status and it said "Correspondence Mailed" so I'm assuming it's not good 🙁

accepted!

Just found out on the status page. No email. 99% sure this is where I'll end up!

Interviewed: 10/20

ACCEPTED!!! AHHH Very excited!! 😀 I usually only read SDN but I just had to post today... Congrats to all who have been accepted and good luck to all still waiting! Keep your heads up...it'll come!

Hey everyone, congrats to those with acceptances already! I was just wondering if anyone who interviewed on November 5th has heard anything yet. Hoping to hear sooooon.

Getting excited for my interview here on the 3rd. How quick have they been with a final response after interview day thus far?

Good luck at your interview!! It really is a great school 🙂

It seems like turnaround time for a response is around 2-3 weeks, although apparently things are really hectic at the office right now. I don't know when they go on holiday, though! They told us when-abouts we'd hear from them at the interview 🙂

Great thanks! Hopefully it's before Xmas!

Under the current plans section, is it okay if we just write a brief summary if we are still in school? Are they expecting a long essay for our plans for 2009-2010?

Hi Sports, congrats! If you haven't already (and don't mind), could you please add when you were completed there? Thanks in advance and good luck!

complete middle of august

i am psyched for this school since i live only half an hour drive away

so if I was complete early July and no news, do you guys think that's pretty much a silent rejection?

I'm right there with you Blue! No idea where I stand with this school. When I applied, I forgot that they do give IS preference :/
