Yes, this appears to be odd. Wouldn't everyone's secondary application fee at least cover the cost of a postage stamp? I called the Temple admissions office earlier and they were unable to tell me what information is conatained in the letter. Also, I have been glancing over this entire thread and have determined that a "CORRESPONDENCE MAILED" status post-interview equates to either being placed on the waitlist or an outright rejection. But I have yet to discover how this status relates to a decision pre-interview.

For all those who were offered an interview invitation from Temple, how was it communicated and what was your new status?

After looking through more threads, it appears that those who were offered an interview had their status changed to: "INVITED FOR INTERVIEW."

WAHOO! My changed too. At least "Correspondence Mailed" isn't "Under Review"! I'm sure its a rejection lol. Good luck to everyone with whatever you are waiting for this cycle.
 
Hey guys,

I am a future temple applicant, so I emailed admissions asking if I could speak with someone about my current status. I'm going to meet with admissions at ~10:30 AM one day next week and then go on a campus tour at 11:00AM. Are the Tues/Wed/Thurs 11:00 AM information sessions/campus tours the ones to which students who are interviewing go?
 
I'm coming to Second Look. I get in really late on Thursday evening and then will be leaving to fly home Friday afternoon. I ended up just choosing a hotel to stay in since it was one night. I have some friends in the area of Temple, but its just easier to stay in center city. Hopefully there will be a good group!
 
Correspondence Mailed = Pre-Interview Acceptance?

Maybe... After all, I did "Send [them] Stuff" 🙄
 
Rejected. Meh

Just had to add that I clicked on the icon (above) and it's called "cookie" This entire time I thought it was an Ames test, or just a petri dish with colonies

rejected via email pre-interview. complete 09/24🙁
 
Hi guys, I think this is my first sdn post! So, I interviewed at Temple Jan 27th and I have yet to hear anything/have a status change online (8 weeks now). I called the office and was told that they would hopefully get to my file "soon". Is anyone else in the same boat? I'm confused how they could be accepting off the waitlist already if they have yet to review every applicant....congrats to all those accepted btw!

Anyone know if we have to do anything for Temple Fin. Aid other than filling out the FAFSA?
 
Has anyone received any info from Temple about financial aid or stuff that we need to take care of before this fall? I've been expecting to get something from them and haven't, besides a little postcard telling me how to access my email and stuff like that...

I called the financial aid office last week and they said just FAFSA for now. They mentioned they'll send us stuff in early April and that they're still processing applications.

Has anyone actually received their "mail"? Why would some people get rejections by email, and others by snail mail? Any thoughts?

just called the admissions office and asked what this meant. the lady said she didn't know what it could be but "it will get to you soon".

to be probe further, i asked if Temple sent interview invites via email or regular mail, and she said "both". I'm not sure how much i buy that but just thought i would put it out there.

im expecting a rejection letter at this point...

I guess I win because I got both! haha I guess they really really wanted to make sure that I knew I wasn't good enough.:laugh:
 
I got the correspondence mailed yesterday. Got the emailed rejection today. She could be telling the truth. I live in CT. Good luck.
 
I have a very strange thing for my status, which I have never heard of..even after browsing past year's threads.

Explanation for: Correspondence Sent
Your application is under review with our office.

This is post-interview and I was put on the waitlist in November.

If your status has been "Correnspondence Sent" since you were WL'd, then that's what it refers to. "Your application is under review" likely means you are still being considered being taken off the waitlist should an opening become available.

It was "Correspondence Mailed" until today, but your explanation makes perfect sense! ^_^
 
Mine changed to "correspondence sent" as well, and it says the same thing for explanation. Weird. Maybe it means they are considering the waitlisted applicants now. I'm pretty sure the explanation before today was something about a letter having been mailed to our preferred address, rather than "your application is under review."

same thing for me.. got the "correspondence sent" yesterday and now the "explain this status" changed to "under review with our office" from "has been mailed to your preferred address".

but i'm pre-interview.. what's going on lol

yes, mine also said "correspondence mailed" and now says "correspondence sent" with "your application is under review with our office" as the explanation. i can't remember what the explanation was when i had "correspondence mailed"...but i'm confused. lol!
 
I have "Correspondence Sent" and under review as the explanation as well. I was waitlisted in November. We'll see what happens!
 
For those who received rejections-what did it say on the Temple Server?

I also have the Correspondence Sent status and was worried of the implication. I just want to know what to look out for or to expect in the case of a rejection.

Mine also says "Correspondence sent"...explanation---file under review...so i guess they are now looking at the "continuing candidates" list.
 
Does any know how people that get accepted off of the waitlist get notified? Mail, email, phone call???

Anyone ever try sending an update letter to Temple through the "send us stuff" link on the TMO online website? If so, did you ever receive a confirmation from them when you sent in your materials?

I did a while back.. got no confirmation though
 
got the rejection email today after my status changed to "correspondence sent" a couple days ago.
 
Did anyone get accepted off the wl? Was your status also correspondence sent? When u were accepted did you hear by email?
 
Same boat as you guys changed corresp. Sent under review, was waitlisted mid Jan
 
I'm would wager that "Correspondence Sent" means rejection for pre-interview, rejection or wait list for post-interview, and absolutely nothing if you are already on the wait list.
 
1-2 people got in off waitlist this year so far. One guy indicated he got an email status has changed. He thought reject but it was changed to accepted.
 
mine changed from correspondence mailed to correspondence sent also, but i haven't gotten any emails yet...anybody have any idea how fast people got an email after their status changed?

It's not an email. It's snail mail.
 
... and found a rejection email from Temple 3/15... sweet closure after a little vacation in Orlando.
 
Sorry to repeat this question, but has anyone who interviewed in late January onward not heard back yet? Its been almost 9 weeks and I've heard not a peep from Temple. When I call to ask about my status, I'm told that they do not have access to when I am going to be reviewed. This wait is painful...haha

I interviewed in february and now I'm correspondence sent (it was mailed before then).
 
hmm ok, JustinSMD were you waitlisted before? I haven't had any status change yet, my status still reads: "Your Status: Interview Complete"
