2009 theme song

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I use "We Will Rock You" I prefer the Nickelback version over the Queen one though

This is going to sound lame, but Prodigy "Firestarter." I'm not even that into techno, but for some reason, this song really works for me.

What is your current theme song when you work out/want to get pumped?

Anybody use Queen?

You know it! "Living on my Own", "Killer Queen." Just to name a few of my favorites.

Though, I tend to stick with 80s and classic alternative.

Sorry, I just love music.

John Tesh NBA on NBC theme song. And Heart of a Champion by Nelly.👍

Wow Futura, you have quite the eclectic taste! Vid # 1 cracks me up for some reason. Living On My Own is an AWESOME song btw.

I recently got into techno music, but I find that it's pretty much hit or miss- some songs are addicting, others are annoying.

Fire Burning Fire Burning On the Dance Floor! Whoa!!!
Shorty's..

Damn, I hate that song. I stopped listening to the radio cause of that douche Sean Kingston or however you say his last name.

But I like Disturbed, Korn, Mudvayne. (No, I'm not emo. I hate it when people ask me that.)

Anything by the Fall of Troy. For weightlifting, ya just can't beat it. 😎

Anything from the Rocky Movies. I listened to Eye of the Tiger and Gonna Fly Now over and over again on the way to my MCAT.

Bullet for my Valentine - Scream, Aim, Fire

The rest of you listen to the lamest stuff out there

Street Lights, Peopleoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh! That's my get pumped track, doesn't get much lamer than that.

Ugh- Indie rock? seriously? It's not even fair to call that stuff rock.

Stellar taste, hoot! I'm all about those lo-fi/noise-esque bands that have been popping up lately.

If only because 'rock' now includes the worst bands around

Rock as it was in it's raw pure form is dead. So the worst bands around these days are just some strange manifestation of rock, with whiny voices, pointless lyrics, and boring chord arrangements. At least with actual rock, you usually end up with only one of those three.

"Get Low" by Lil Jon and "Air Force Ones" by Nelly 😳...it worked before volleyball games/track meets in high school, so I just stick with tradition. I like a good mix though, so I also like a playlist with some Aerosmith, Journey, and some country.

ASAP by T.I. = boss
i can't wait for that man to get outta jail. he's gonna be spittin' some fiya on his next album!!!
lol

michael jackson.. always have listened to him for school/work related environments.

also, ted leo and the pharmacists (best band ever), and J Dilla!!

Disturbed- Down with the sickness
Slipknot- The Blister Exists (blows my brains out every time)

Personally, Papa Roach's "Last Resort" gets me going...lol...that first line, "Cut my life into pieces, this is my last resort..." just does something for me and then the guitar riffs blaze in...gotta love it.

Lately, Beyonce's "Ego" is pretty motivating, go figure.👍

don't know why, but I've been listening to a lot of old 90's techno and pop lately.

this past week i've been playing "gotta get through this" by daniel beddingfield...the song applies to both long running pieces and high-throughput RT-PCR setups :b

WU TANG clan

nothing better than the wu

Street Lights, Peopleoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh! That's my get pumped track, doesn't get much lamer than that.

AGREED! 👍 "Don't Stop Believin" will always be my jam. I like to think of it as my personal anthem 😀
