houston!!!!!!! my first choice!!!.... interviewed on sept 22 at houston.....withdrawing app at baylor tomorrow....

good luck to all who are still waiting, just as mamelons said acceptances are sent out after dec 1 too so there's still a chance - best wishes to all!👍

I saw two ppl on predents get accepted from SA. i wonder how they got notified
 
Did you just read my post?? Dr. Cappelli calls some people and said the letter was in the mail. The office also told me today that the letters were all mailed today.. hope that helps!!!:luck:
 
I remember the exhilirating feeling of getting your first acceptance when I was accepted into PT school...all the hard work starting to pay off. Email was not big, so I had to rely on snail mail.

Now, I have just to play the waiting game more...still waiting to get my UTBD interview scheduled in January and hopefully, a good number of you will decline UTBD improving my chances to get in!

But for those who got in...congrats and enjoy this time knowing you have a huge burden off your shoulders!
 
Dr. Capelli can't possibly call all 120 people right?
 
Yeah dont worry!! He told me the letters were mailed today.. and I asked him if he calls everyone and he said no he only calls a few! So dont lose hope cause you could be getting a letter in a few days!good luck!!:luck:
 
I heard that if you have a health professions advisor at your school, they might be able to login to the TMDSAS system and see if one was mailed.
 
oh...good to know that she didn't call all of accepted ppl. i'll keep my fingers crossed until i find goodies in my mailbox anytime soon :xf:
 
I got into Houston!!! Second time around, but glad I stuck with it. Thanks everyone for their support, especially my peoples, Danny289 and presjc2, good luck to u guys.
 
For those of you who got into Houston, first of all congrats! and secondly, when did you interview??

I got into Houston and I interviewed in October.

And for those of you who are waiting...DONT WORRY. I know PLENTY of people who got in as late as march, april, may and even JUNE! You don't have to get in everywhere the first day...just ONE school on ONE day! Keep fighting!

You are right... sorry I am just now posting, I have been up at school finishing a project that is due tomorrow. I checked to see if a list was posted today, and unless it has been posted in a different location from last year, there is no list as of right now.

Also, to the person who posted above... I believe you get calls from San Antonio if you get a scholarship? I know that's how it was for me and some other students in my class... don't quote me on that though. Best of luck to everyone and congrats!

Yeah about the list, I called the office a few weeks ago and they said they did, then i called later and they said they werent posting it till january?? Dont really know why! Anyways Id love to hear anything you have to say about San Antonio, and what the first year is going to be like! 😎

I don't know if it's the case or not, but I received a phone call about the letter, and when I got it, there was a scholarship offer with it. Mine was for $5000. There are lots of others. I know some people end up getting in-state tuition scholarships and other awards. So maybe you will have one. If not though, no worries, you are going to enjoy San Antonio!

And I will answer any questions you have after I get through this week... 3 exams! Yikes! I should probably be studying...

So, for those of us who didn't get anything yesterday, should we be looking for something once a week-ish...or are they sending letters out like everyday?? lol...
 
Does anyone know if BCD is rolling admissions after 1st day? or do they just wait and send out a big batch?
 
I interviewed on Oct. 20 at Houston and was accepted yesterday.

I just got my letter from San Antonio and I am in!!! I live about 45 miles north of San Antonio so everyone in the San Antonio area should expect their letters today. I imagine those in other parts of texas will be getting their letters tomorrow. I was also excepted to Houston yesterday, so those of you that want a spot in Houston can hope for my spot. Good Luck!
 
got my san antonio acceptance letter as well right now in north austin. i'll be giving up my houston spot too.
 
I cant believe how blessed I've been...yesterday I got into all three schools. Dr. Cappelli called me too and he did confirm that I was being given a scholarship but he didnt state the amount. Now I dont know what to do though. There were certain things that I liked about each school so I know I'm gonna have to make a tough decision. Anyone else in my shoes?
 
Hey for those who got the SA letter today.. was it regular or priority mail??? I am up in indiana so im trying to figure how long it is gonna take!!!😎

mine came as regular mail, it wasn't priority. but maybe since you're far away it'll be priority? nonetheless, the deadline for responding to them about your decision isn't until january 9th

OMG!!! BAYLOR... (which was my number one). I was kind of disheartened when I kept reading that everyone else was getting emails, but I guess they forgot to send me one because I got a letter in the mail postmarked Dec 1st from Dr. Miller.

I even got a scholarship!

I am beyond the most happiest person out there!
 
no san antonio letter yet, guess i hafta wait on both Houston and SA

Got my snail mail today from Baylor, my deposit check is in the mail tomorrow!
 
Hey did anyone else get a scholarship at baylor? I was wondering if the funds were only available during your first year because thats kind of what the letter says...
 
Yeah, I did. Mine says the same thing. Not sure what that means...like do they take it away after your first year? Doesn't matter though, I'm not going there anyways. But I was curious about that as well.
 
I understood the scholarship to apply for the first semester there only but that's okay at least it softens the blow a bit when having to pay for everything else. 😀

I called uthscsa today and the receptionist let me know that my acceptance letter is on the way for those impatient and frantic like me.

man, are you serious? you can actually call and ask whether you're in or not?
that's cool. maybe i should try that tomo,,,nothings here yet and i don't know if anything is on the way for me or what...:xf::xf::luck::luck:

by the way, does anybody know whether we should expect a letter from houston? or the email was the only notification we get from the school? the letters not here yet!

I think Dr. P said that everything was going to be through email.
 
Does anyone else know how they are going to decide between two or even all three schools? I was thinking of maybe going back and visiting SA and Baylor over the break but I'm not sure if its worth it. I know I don't wanna live in Houston and I could almost flip a coin to decide between the other two.
