No invite here 🙁 That might be it for me then...Creighton gives feedback on your application, right? Does anyone know what the e-mail or phone number to contact them about app feedback?

I called the admissions office last week and they set up an appointment for the open-door program they offer (which I think happens almost every Thursday from 1:30-4 central time). I asked for feedback on how I could improve my application and the admissions counselor was very informative, with great ideas that I could work on to improve my chances next time.

Got an invite at 3:51pm!!!! Cannot wait till march 18th. I will pray for invites for you all!
 
invited today! submitted 9/1. Interviewing on 3/26!
 
so is it pathetic to think that they are not done giving out interview invites? maybe they will finish by the end of the week? 🙁

Anyone who got an interview mind telling me how many were days were available? congrats by the way.

They mighttttttttttt still have a few more. That's what I'm guessing. So we'll have to sit tight I guess G.
 
How does Creighton notify you of an interview invite? Is it in the form of an email and then also listed on the web portal immediately?

Do rejection notifications pre-interview come via the USPS, the web portal, email or some combination?

They must have a few more interview slots for the last few of us holding on! Keep hope alive 🙂
 
Called the admissions office today and the woman who answered said there are additional invites going out by the end of this week. Those not granted an interview will receive a rejection in March.

So my interview is March 26th, they actually hold spots until that time right? I was wondering when they typically let applicants know who interview that late if they have been accepted. Not sure anyone in this forum would have experience with that.

Nothing here so going to write this off as a rejection. I think they interviewed the people they wanted from my program at BU anyhow like a long time ago. I talked to classmates who interviewed here and some were interviewed at the beginning of the cycle, others in later part of fall. I applied to Creighton in truth, anyhow, because it was encouraged by BUSM to apply here. I'm still hoping for more Fl. schools to come through or to get off the UCF waitlist or for the new FAU med school to pan through. These are where my realistic shots have been since the beginning anyhow.

Don't do that so soon! For all we know, they haven't sent out the last invites yet, right? :xf: I would call them and ask, but I've been calling them all week, so if they have caller ID they'll probably recognize my number by now xD

Good luck Guju! I see you in a lot of the threads and you're always really helpful. I hope everything works out for you this cycle 😀

Accepted!!!😀 Called admissions this morning. I also interviewed on 1/14. I absolutely fell in love with Creighton at the interview and I am still in complete shock that I will be there this fall!
 
congratulations to both of you!! I interviewed the week after you guys so hopefully I will here this week :xf: Just out of curiosity... did you get a call or an e-mail notifying you?

Just relax and be yourself! You've gotten this far already...so you know you're a great applicant. The interviewers really want you to just relax and not be so nervous during the sessions..in fact the Director of Admissions will tell you to relax and breathe throughout the day. Just put your anxiety down and let your personality show through! Oh and after the interview..definitely send thank-you cards/emails afterwards. Update your file to them as frequent as need be..let them know that you want to be in their school!

The AdCom usually meets on Thursday afternoons, so I called first thing Friday morning. It was already in the computer and the lady in admissions looked it up for me. I also got a call in the afternoon from Garland Jarmon. They usually call for acceptance and snail mail wait list. Good luck with everything!:luck:

Has anyone who has not been offered an interview received an email that they are rejected yet??

I applied late, but thought I had a decent chance at Creighton...so just wondering if anyone's heard anything. I know that they said the last interview invites went out a week ago, so I'm not very hopeful at this point.
 
Just withdrew from my interview on March 26th, :luck::xf: one of the spots goes to someone on here!!
 
Interview invite this afternoon!!!! Complete since late July. Sent an update letter over break. Definitely a surprise-I thought I'd be getting a rejection at this point... 😎

I am sure it was the combo :luck::xf:! Everyone needs to start using it so more of us holding on can score late interviews. Good luck to all, keep your spirits up....it isn't over yet............................

I just received the rejection email.
 
Just got the official rejection also via email
 
+1 pre-interview rejection. o well, safety school. I don't see why I didnt even get an interview when My stats > Avg Creighton student. it just confuses me on what they look for sometimes! (especially when it is hard to judge "fit" without actually meeting the applicant!!!)

"My best wishes for the successful realization of your professional school goals."

This is an awkward statement. I feel like it is saying, "I hope you realize you are not cut out to be a physician."

For all you fellow waitlistees:

Did you receive an e-mail or snail mail? I called the office on Friday and they told me I had been placed on the alternate list. However I have yet to receive official notification (I heard there was a form or something to fill out and send back).

Also has anyone tried to contact Creighton to ask their reasons for being waitlisted? I sent an email to the medadmissions@creighton.... address a few days ago and haven't heard back. Should I have sent it directly to Dr. Quinn or Dr. Nipper?

Hopefully we will all get good news after all this waiting :xf:

To answer your 2nd question, I've tried calling the admissions on multiple occasions during open office hours (Thursdays), and ended up leaving messages asking if they could kindly call me back about how I can better my application. Not once did I ever get a call back. All in all, it looks like Creighton either doesn't care much for the waitlisted folks or just doesn't care much about me.

Anyhow, good luck fellow waitlister! Let us know if you do get a email back. Oh, and FYI, they like update emails, which I did send and received a reply to.

I've got my Creighton interview coming up at the end of March (their VERY LAST available interview day - talk about cutting it close) - my first and, unfortunately, likely ONLY interview. I'm wondering if the fact that I'm interviewing this late in the season means that I'm really interviewing for a waitlist spot instead of actually having a shot at an acceptance. Am I getting my hopes up? Should I start to make alternate plans for next year?

I interviewed in early February and I was wondering the same thing. But my student host and his room mate both interviewed in March when they did it and were accepted straight away - no waitlist. So there is hope. Good luck!

Creighton doesn't interview for the alternate list, meaning every date is interviewing for a straight acceptance (even if there are only a few left there are definitely some)

Also, the alternate list is not the kiss of death- while it definitely varies year to year, there was a decent amount of movement last year, and a bunch of kids in my class are from the alternate list. Good luck!
 
Hopefully some current students out there can answer this question. How are the girls/dating scene at Creighton? Not necessarily just the med school, but other professional schools/undergrad/omaha in general? Would you say people are friendly and its easy to meet girls coming to Omaha not knowing anybody?

So I'm not a current student, nor can I comment on the dating scene. However, regarding the "cougar" scene, Omaha is prime! 👍
 
Is June 1 the earliest someone from the alternate list should expect to hear?
