But I'm actually going to another school so waitlisters there's at least one

Looking from last year's thread, it seemed like they released acceptances all in one day. Does anyone know if they were all sent at the same time or slowly throughout the evening?

I just looked at last year's thread and the admissions office claimed that acceptances would come out gradually over the week, but no SDNers found out after the first batch of acceptances.

I feel like based on the number of people who have already gotten accepted, it doesn't look too good for those of us who haven't gotten an email yet. I mean, I suppose it's only 8 people, but if you assume they accept what, 180 people, and not everyone is obsessive an posts on SDN as soon as they get in... Too bad 🙁

Hey FlowRate can you clarify? Do you mean no SDNers were accepted after the first batch? So if we don't hear today, we are likely rejected or WLed?

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago, but it wasn't for Hahvahd. It illustrates how ridiculous this whole process is though...

It appears the rest of us are out of luck... I still have my fingers crossed for tomorrow though 🙂 Who knows, maybe they'll release another batch? I just want to know by the weekend...

I think they're all out - just heard from another person at my school that got in.

The rest of us probably will be hearing back soon, but don't get your hopes up too much, I guess. 🙁

As far as I could tell, no SDNers were accepted after the first batch last year, even though HMS admissions said acceptances were spread throughout the week. I have the feeling that our news is not good. Still holding out hope for tomorrow.

there are two tracks to get an MD, one is NewPathway (NP) and the other is Health Science and Technology (partnership with MIT and Harvard). NP is the lesser prestige of the two.

LLS i actually have a legit reson to think so... I never received my interview invite and they had to call after waiting for a confirmation from me...this makes me more anxious but watever the decision is i will know..eventually

Congrats guys 🙂. Pretty sure that's it with the acceptance emails. I know too many people who got in for the rest of us to have a chance tomorrow. 🙁

Why does everyone assume that it's over now? Have some faith people if you haven't received anything then it's still up in the air. I'm usually a pessimistic person, but the fact is we still don't know if all acceptance letters were sent even if it seems like many people got their acceptance emails (maybe they're going in alphabetical order jk) we still do not know that there may be some left over for us.

Though, after all that I'm still not optimistic in my chances of getting an acceptance email, but as always "expect the worst and hope for the best"

This is where my love/hate feeling about SDN kicks in.

I wouldn't get excited about this. I'm extremely doubtful, based on last years thread. Only waitlists/rejections came out after the one acceptane batch.

Yes, reading over last year's thread shows all SDN acceptance activity happening on the same day (although that was March 15th and this year was March 3rd), with no further reported acceptances after that. No one can know for sure, obviously. I'm sure 2011-2012 will be watching this thread intensely when it comes time for them to find out. Hello people from the future

I could make a guess to say that the vast majority of us yet to be notified have acceptances elsewhere? It might do us some good to look at the programs/opportunities at those schools that inspire us, because bottom line is the same - we're gonna be doctors, baby! An acceptance is a victory, without a doubt 👍

Cornell is a realllllllllllllly nice school, with lots of opportunities for research at sloan kettering and Rockerfellar, one of the best hospitals- NY Presbyterian, and in one of the most exclusive areas of manhattan. I’m not bias or anything, lol, but must say I’m a bit jealous 🙂 congrats
