Accepted today Also!!!! I was soooooo nervous to call bc I didn't want to hear a rejection over the phone, I gave myself a little pep talk and then I called. I'm soooo happy bc I know how hard it is to get into Howard. This is my 4th acceptance, now its time to pray and see where God will lead me for school

Congrats to everybody who just got accepted and welcome to the Howard family! Should you choose to take your acceptance, I promise you that you wont regret it! You wont find any other school or family like this one anywhere in the country.

I also want to put it out there that with you guys being the Class of 2015, expect my class, 2013, to take special interest in you all and we will be all over yall. Only in good ways. But we have plans to take yall under our wing. 2015 is a very important class to my class, :laugh:. You probably have already been told, but when you get here you will learn to an even greater extent.

Make sure you go out and celebrate your acceptance. Being accepted to medical school is a HUGE accomplishment. Also make sure to give praise to whom ever you serve. I still thank God everyday for blessing me with this opportunity.

If there any questions, please dont hesitate to ask. Congrats to you all! God bless!

At the interview, I heard that we first year will have to throw a party for the third year! ahah is that true? 😀

Something like that. You don't do it your first year. The MS2 class throws it for the MS4 class. So when you are in your 2nd year thats when your class will put on this event. But like I said, we will talk more about that at a later date and time. LOL. Sensitive information.......HAHAHA!

Had no Valentine yesterday, but HU definitely showed me the love. God be the glory. Accepted! Good luck to everyone still waiting and congrats to those accepted.
 
Congrats to those accepted yesterday! I wish I could just get an interview. Got rejected from state school pre interview today so pretty sure that it won't happen at Howard this year either. I wish I didn't stink it up early in college. Oh well, here's to making a 38 on MCAT somehow lol and then getting in! haha

Sorry you haven't heard back yet! I interviewed at another school last November and haven't heard back yet. I know what you mean about freaking out after finding out that a meeting has occurred! lol.

In regards to keeping in touch with admissions, what do you mean? I sent an update earlier. Is there anything else I can do?

Yeah, I mean, why don't you just call and see if they have gotten the update... and just let them know of your interest. It won't hurt your app, so why not? Be persistent and don't give up!
 
Were all rooting for you Beewee hang in there I am sure youll hear good news! This has been an amazing thread, I'm looking forward to receiving the package--contacted Ms. Walk today she said it was mailed today!

Just wanted to say congrats to all those accepted. I have for sure said prayers of thanksgiving for all the good news!

I also wanted to say thanks again to everyone on this thread for all the positivity, good vibes, and enthusiasm. Blackdr2B, I really do see what you're saying about not being able to find this kind of camaraderie at any other medical school. Excited to see what the MS3 class has in store for the MS1's !

Beeweew and BlakegriffinFan, I'm still throwin up those prayers for you guys. I wholeheartedly believe that good news is on your way👍

Good morning everyone! I hope you all are having a blessed day! Hey Beeweew, I started thinking about your situation. I don't know if anyone has said this already, but I think that you didn't hear from Howard on Monday because your interviewer must've handed in your interview evaluation late. Its the only plausible explanation I can think of. So with that said, I hope that reasoning lifts your spirits and will make it easier to make it to next week 🙂. I KNOW you'll get good news. I can feel it!

Awww! Thanks, OneMike!! I actually called and found out that my file wasn't reviewed yet and that there is a big possibility it will be reviewed tomorrow... so, I just have to wait to find out 🙂. I just think waiting until March 15th will prolly kill me b/c I'm so anxious to find out, like, yesterday! But, I love that everyone here has been so supportive and encouraging! It makes me want to join you guys even more 😍

I have been silently following this thread and hoping for some good news on my end. I have been complete since November but i have not heard anything yet. I keep trying to call this number -2028066279- in hopes that am able to talk to someone but this has not been sucessful. Also i have sent a couple of emails and i have still not received any response. I was wondering if there was some other way i could get in touch with someone that could give me a heads up regarding where i am in the application process,

Hey Beeweew! In addition to what OneMike is saying...I actually interviewed on 12/7 with one more applicant. She was accepted at the end of December and I hadn't heard yet. I got super worried so I called Ms. Walk and she said my file hadn't been reviewed. Lo and behold, in the middle of January, I was blessed with an acceptance🙂

Hope that helps. It's just a matter of time for you. We're all here checking SDN constantly so we can celebrate together! Also, just like OneMike said, I knowwww it's going to be good news! :highfive:

Hey! You have the right phone number (I called that number a few times and it worked). Make sure you are calling during the times below (Eastern time zone) because that is when they receive calls. I wish you the best and stay strong, don't give up!!

Mondays: 10 a.m. - 12:30 pm
Thursdays: 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 pm
Fridays: 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 pm

Sorry I haven't been that active guys- back to back exams this week... and another one tomorrow. I'll come back alive this weekend.

I went to the optometrist today and had my pupils dilated!
Result: My eyes are healthy! YAY! 😀
Spent most of my day indoor with sun glasses! 😎

Thanks DoctorDang, the exams went well! I'm completing my B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience. How about yourself?

And yes, I'm trying to maintain good grades as well! Senioritis is pretty hard to shake... so I'll be using the long weekend to get into gear.
