Btw, does anyone think I will hear back from the admissions office on the 15th of November even though I haven't received that "out of committee" email yet? I interviewed on the 5th of October, so I'm hoping they already decided my fate by now, lol. Thanks!

I interviewed on the 19th of October and got the "out of committee" e-mail on the 4th of November... you should probably call Mrs. Walk on Monday and see if you are out of committee yet.

i think you can send it to the admissions office and they'll add it to your file. however, it's probably quicker to email Ms. Walk. ask her if it's okay to do that. she's very responsive to questions. you already have her email.


^^call ms. walk or shoot her an email. i found out some things about my file and that whole "out of committee" thing a few days ago and i would have been totally stressed (well, even more than usual) had i not contacted her.

Yup, yup.. I'm so nervous! Do you think they'll inform us through e-mail or by phone? Some schools actually call and tell you their decisions personally 😕 In any case, good luck to everyone!!! Just one more day! :xf:

They will e-mail us to let us know that the decision has been mailed... once you get that e-mail, you can call and get the decision over the phone. Last year, they got the e-mail on the 20th so we could find out any time this week but hopefully it is tomorrow! 🙂
 
Has anyone talked to Howard to see if we should be expecting the e-mail today? or if they are planning on mailing the letters later this week instead...

From reading last year thread, it seems like Howard sends out the email on the 20th and then people called in to see if they got accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. So they might send out the emails today but they might not. I hope it is sometimes this week because I know you all are so anxious!

Been checking my email all day long but by 6PM I knew today was not it. However, at 7 PM I saw Ms. Walk email and was so estatic!!! it wasn't an interview invite email but the fact that I got an email made me smile! Ms. Walk you are so awesome, you made my day!! 😀 Promise I'll wait patiently!
 
Hey guys,

I've been following this thread for a while and I've finally gotten the courage to join. I'm also a current applicant and my nerves have been driving me crazy! I turned in my secondary the second week of September but my application was not complete bc my undergrad committee letter was taking forever... Anyway, my file has been complete for over a month now and I am soo eager to hear back. I LOVE this school. I actually attended the open house/tour in September and it just made me fall in love with the school more. I live around DC so hopefully, I'll hear back for the interview soon and take the metro there.

Anyway, hang in there ppl! Just wanted to say Hi and let you know there are others out there in the same boat.

PS. did any one of you attend the aamc minority recruitment fair in DC on November 6th?

God that is so creepy. JK. Yeah thats really funny since today was the first time I checked this thread and saw that you called me out. WEIRD but nice to know someone pays attention to me.
 
Has anyone sent an update letter. I took the time to visit this school and am VERY interested. I have a huge presence with the AA community here in LA, don't know if that'll help me.

Congratulations to all that have been accepted and to those that were invited to interview!!!!!!

Hopefully this time next month I will be able to say I've been accepted as well!!!! Countdown to December 15th begins now.....

Complete in sept invite yesterday!!! Dates are open in december so there is still a lot of space and time
 
hey, guys... I know Howard gets greater than 6000 primary apps from AMCAS but do you know how many secondaries they receive?

between people who don't send in a complete secondary and those who just don't send one at all, probably half that...but 80% of all statistics are made up so take that as you will.
