Hey Guys,

From reading the posts it seems like many of you are applying to the same sites. Anyone applying to counseling centers? I am applying primarily to counseling centers and I was wondering if anyone has heard from any yet?

I applied to two counseling centers (Univ of Wisconsin and Univ of Minnesota) but haven't heard yet.

Also, I heard from the Minneapolis VA yesterday.
 
I heard from Casa Pacifica last night
 
Got my first interview offer; from the Tampa VA.
 
I got an interview invitation from Lexington VA this am
 
Friend heard from Manhattan VA this morning
 
Interviews for UCLA Semel Institute went out today as well.
 
Long Island Jewish Medical Center has sent out at least some invites for the child track
 
Interview offer from BU-center for multicultural mental health. Rejection from Beth Israel deaconess. Both happened before Thanksgiving.

A friend of mine got interview offers from McLean and Hartford consortium.

Another was rejected by UIC.
 
Anyone waiting on Boston Consortium? Supposedly we are to hear news sometime today.

I had to do some diaphragmatic breathing today because we are supposed to hear from Boston Consortium and Brown.

uh, i'm waiting for boston too. has anyone heard? isn't it past business hours there already?

i thought brown was 12/4?
 
Still haven't heard from any of th 19 sites I applied... but no news is still good news .... I think
 
I think Brown is 12/4. I could be wrong though...
 
I'm pulling my hair out waiting on Boston Consortium. Also, NYU-Bellevue has started inviting for the adult track.
 
Just checked Brown's website. It says invitations will be emailed "by December 3rd."

I received an email today with an interview invite for one of the child tracks. Things have picked up this week! It's definitely still nerve-wracking---I'll be glad when the waiting is over.
 
Myself and a couple of my colleagues got rejections today from Sharp Healthcare in San Diego...

I know a couple others who have gotten rejections from UCLA-Semel and the SFVA.

Rejection from Boston Consortium. Kinda sad and surprised considering I interviewed there last year...oh well.

I guess the Boston Consortium doesn't like SDN members. I didn't apply there this year, but they rejected me last year. :shrug:

Heard from Interfaith today
 
I got an interview from Pace University Counseling Center in Manhattan.
 
Brown Child Track just sent out interviews!
 
I received an interview at the Jesse Brown VA in Chicago.
 
does anyone have an idea when Yale or Children's Hospital Boston usually interview?

I would love to know this too--so stressful trying to anticipate other sites' interview dates!
 
Is it just me or in general this year the interview offers are coming somewhat slower than previous years?

On last year's thread, by 12/1 people are hearing back either for invites or rejections left and right.

So far I only heard back from 2 and got two e-mails today telling me they are in the process of reviewing. Not sure if no news by now is good news. But on the other hand my other friend got 4 invites within a week.

Maybe NY area is generally slower?

I am just stressed out!

I think we all are. From what I hear it looks like a lot of sites held on to applications for a while after close dates to make sure that everyone's apps got in.

or maybe less people are using this forum this year so less traffic and gave the illusion that things have been slower?

I just feel same time last year news are flooding in their inboxes or voice mails and people are updating by the minute... we got like 10 posts a day this year.

I've only heard from 2 NY sites, too. I think it's still early from sites' perspective. Hang in there!
 
Additionally, since this is the first year the application was online, I think many sites extended their deadlines past original due dates.

I received an email from the VA in Hampton, Virginia saying they'd email out interview offers around December 10th.

There was an e-mail sent out the other day that commented on issues for both applicants and sites. I ran into a problem last week when I tried to review some applications, and they kept timing out.

I don't know how many dates Yale has for interviews, but I got an email invite today for an interview on January 8th. Yesterday I got an email invite for an interview at McLean on December 11th. I also got a rejection from Boston Consortium yesterday.

Still no word from the other sites...
 
Got an interview today (via email) with Tarzana Treatment Centers (LA area)... It's an APPIC site, and they had a lot of interview dates to choose from--they seem flexible. Only 16 more to go...
 
Intern2B, is the invite from the Yale Community and Clinical Psychology program? Are people hearing from MUSC, UCSD, UNC?

I thought Children's Hospital Boston was a part of the Boston Consortium. Is it separate? Maybe I'm thinking of Mass Gen Children's? Either way, good luck to you.

Last year, Yale Child Study Center called for interviews around the 2cd week of Dec and I remember interviewing the first Monday of Jan. I don't remember how many other dates they had available.

Hi Sunstroke. The interview is from Yale University School of Medicine (1183). Hope that's good news 🙂 I also applied to UCSD, and have yet to hear anything from them.
