I would not recommend contacting sites (to ask about your interview status) prior to their published interview notification date unless there is some very important reason to do so. There is no rule against doing so, but it's best to let them focus on reviewing applications. Sites are working as diligently as possible to review applications, and will notify applicants as soon as they possibly can.
Furthermore, never ever ever assume anything about your status until you have heard one way or the other. If you haven't heard from a site by the end of the day (11:59pm, not 5:00pm) on its published interview notification date, then contact the site the next day to inquire about your status. Notification e-mails can get caught in spam filters (which means you should check your "spam" or "junk mail" folder regularly), so don't assume that not hearing means that you were rejected.
