Pricey hotel for Lankenau - is there any alternative options available that's cheaper in/near Philly? I thought the hotel thing would be provided. Hopefully Carilion provides hotel stay for free.

I saw that too. I was not expecting housing to be offered, but there are some places on travelocity, hotels.com, and hotwire for pretty cheap, but not as nice.

Well, I've had friends who went through the process last year tell me how everything was pretty much paid for, etc. Oh well - are you gonna stay at the hotel they reserved or another hotel?

Oh wow, that is impressive, I have never heard that before. I am not certain just yet. I am looking into my other options. Maybe friends and family in the area, that would be best, but I am not sure yet.

I know for medical school interviews I stayed with students, but I am not sure it would be appropriate in this process unless you know a resident very well personally beforehand.

I looked through one of the sdn ob/gyn archives, and it looks like most of the interviews are offered in Sept, a few in October, and barely any in Nov. Also a lot seemed to come through in the dates of the upcoming week. I spoke with my chairman last week and he indicated that he plans to look at applications this coming week. So lets are try to be as calm as we possibly can. 🙂

I just want to clarify some things for you that I have read in this thread. If you are counting on programs paying for your hotel, you will be disappointed. There may be one or two programs out there that might do this, but the large majority will not. Invitations go out starting in September through the early part of November after the Dean's letters go out.
