I seriously dont think it is late. I have a friend with your approximate stat who applied this late last year and is now a student there. Your master should boost you up so definitely i would apply.

Does anyone know if we can send updates pre-interview? I submitted in July and haven't heard anything since. I was hoping to update the school on a new research job I just started.
I submitted my 2nd app on Aug 13 and haven't heard back from the school ever since. Should I call their office or should I wait?
I submitted my secondary July 6 and haven't received so much as a complete e-mail. If you're really concerned about it, call the office. The online application should let you check your status. They'll get to your app when they get to it.

I also submitted my secondary the first week of July and didn't hear anything until I got an interview invite, not even a complete email, so I don't think calling would do anything. I guess you could call or send an email to let them know your interest, but the only way of checking on your status is online. Good luck!

An "Interview Status" section will appear below your application checklist if you get an interview.
The "Interview Status" section only appears when you have been invited to interview. Do not expect a "complete" email or any other communication from Jefferson after your file is complete. As noted, you can check your status online.
Jefferson has started extending interview invites. Interviews start next week for early decision applicants, and the following week for regular applicants. If you look back through this thread, you will see a bunch of people have received invites.
For those of you who have only submitted their secondaries a month or so ago, recognize that a ton of people had their materials in long before you did. Sit tight. It could be months before you hear anything ... if you hear anything at all.
for those who were asking, they do accept update letters before invites. I was promoted and had a new publication and they happily added my letter to my file.
The only schools that I know of so far that have policies against updates are Rosalind Franklin and Albany. There may be others, some schools just gave me the silent treatment after I emailed them.

You must be. I've never heard of anyone receiving a "complete" email. Was it unsolicited, or a response to an inquiry by you as to whether your file was complete?
I sent an update letter and got a response with 2 files. The first confirmed the letter would be added to my file and the second stated my application was complete. You aren't too special!

You can, but I feel like September is a little early for pre-interview updates. Like I said before, I submitted in July last year and didn't get an interview invite until Feb without updates. Don't worry too much yet.
... which is why it's funny to hear someone say "I submitted my secondary August 15 and I haven't heard anything yet ... "

Well I did send them an email about something else (not inquiring about status), and they sent back a response plus a letter saying I was complete.
But I think I'm still special. My mom tells me so every day.

Interview day is extremely informal and relaxed. The entire day is run completely by students, which is very unique. Basically the day is pretty typical with some lecture type stuff in the morning, a tour, then 2 interviews (one student/one faculty). The day ends with cookie hour where you will get to talk with other interviewees, current students (free food 😀), and faculty. Student interviews are completely closed-file (interviewer only gets very basic info on applicant) but faculty has access to entire application. The student host program is a good option for the people coming from out of town since you can learn a little more about the school before the interview and save $100+ on a hotel.
Just a heads up.... Just because Jefferson interview day is relaxed, don't make it too relaxed/casual. Still act professionally, etc.

I was complete in early july. I am applying PSAP and schooled in PA but im intl
So I just got an email from Jeff asking me not to have my transcripts sent to them because they only need transcripts from accepted applicants. My undergrad university simply sent my transcripts to AMCAS which sent them out. Did anyone else get this email? I had a alot of trouble when trying to submit my secondary and I hope my file is OK in their system. Do you think I should worry?

I just got this message too, so my assumption is that it was automatically sent to all applicants. Glad someone else checked in here about this! I am sure they are about to be piled under a bunch of e-mail responses.

Mine will be among the email deluge they must be getting this morning. It's sad that this automatic email has been the only sort of communication I got from JMC since submitting my secondary.

Hey everyone--I'm interviewing at 2 Philly schools on Oct 6 and 7. I was originally going to stay with a friend, but the plans fell through so I need a place to stay on the night of Oct 5 and Oct 6. If any med students on this forum would be willing to have me, I'd really appreciate it (I'll bake cookies for you--just tell me your favorite kind!) OR, if anyone else is interviewing on those day(s) and would like to book a cheap hotel together also let me know!
